Phew! I spent a bit too long on this, messing around with different light directions and such... It's a bit more than just a simple pinup! But hey, it's done, I think! I'll look it over again, after a bit of a break. I hope you all enjoy it!

I woke up this morning and saw that this Patreon has risen to over $1000 a month! You know what that means... Time for me to start doing some videos! I want to wait until I have a better computer before I make it a regular thing. I want to be able to just hit record whenever I draw something, so that I can post time-lapse videos, regularly on Youtube. As discussed in the previous talk on rewards, I will be sending the high resolution files along with fulfilled pledges at the end of the month. This is to try and slow down the amount of "pledge dodgers" that I get, who sign up, download the files, and then bail before their pledge is processed.
Here's this week sketch, to be colored promptly! Should have her shiny and vibrant sometime tomorrow. :D

Decided to go with a front lawn background instead, or maybe a college campus. XD Hey, it's summer! You don't need to be at the beach to enjoy the sun!
In truth, I just liked the colors better, this way. I also got to see that the square brush is not only good at texturing stone, but for making grass fairly quickly. Woot!

After reading all the comments on the last post, concerning Patreon Rewards, I have decided to leave things as they are! If I change anything, it may be to deliver high res files to Patrons at the end of the month, via email. This would be to try and prevent all the darn "Pledge Dodgers" I get. Little rascals! But I will start doing that, next month, more than likely. Each week, when I finish a pinup, I will post a smaller version of it to my wall, and email the high resolution files at the end ...

Hey everyone! I've got some ideas I have been bouncing around, and I thought it'd be good to see what you all thought about them: I've been studying other artists who use Patreon to great success. Many of them share their artwork publicly, outside of Patreon, at lower resolution. Then they offer the sketches, PSDs, and high resolution image files, as Patreon Rewards. People seem to respond well to this, bit I need to know how you feel about it. I have considered trying this out for a month,...

ARGH!!! FINALLY DONE!
I have no idea why this took so long. It could be partly because I decided in my ignorance to try and use this as a chance to study how colored light (aka fire light) effects colors. See that tunic? Looks green, right? It's actually in the orange color range. It took me several tries... Painting, and repainting, again and again. Finally, I found a photo of Norse men sitting around a fire in a long house (viking style houses), and I was able to get the colors right.
I went round and round with ideas for this one. Sometimes they come easy, sometimes they require more effort. I eventually decided to draw a nordic girl, getting a bit relaxed at a mead hall. This was probably inspired by the viking documentary I had going while I was drawing. Inspiration comes from all sorts of places!
I'll have this one colored soon. Hopefully by the end of the day, but we shall see. I want to do some more work with interior fire light, which is tricky. ;)
I looked at the original on my phone, and it looked waaaay to saturated, so I toned it down a bit. I'll leave both up, so you can decide which you like. Do you like the vibrant version, or this desaturated version?
