I was so excited to have Dr. Joseph Laycock on my channel. His work on Satanism is fascinating and crucial to understanding a major issue in religion and politics in the US. This video got swarmed with anti-trans commenters for a while and I actually lost several hundred subscribers, but I’m pretty proud of this video. This was somehow even more controversial than I expected. I’ve actually lost more than a few supporters over this video, so I appreciate you sticking with me. While I do think religious harm should be met with firm opposition, an effective approach to that requires quite a bit of nuance. I’ve been wanting to make this specific video for months but I didn’t think I’d get the chance to do the whole thing as an interview with Bart himself until his team hit me up. Exciting to get to work with someone who has changed so many of our minds (and lives)!
