I've never done a dwarf prior to this commission. I was a bit worried initially because dwarven styled things aren't my favorite exactly. It turns out the nice guy commissioning it (also a Patron, so hi to you if you are reading this haha), isn't crazy about the standard dwarven aesthetic either. So we struck a nice middle ground together. We are both pretty happy with how it is turning out :D

So this started with a heavy MTG Hivelord influence... and then I kinda got carried away doing my own thing. So apologies if it deviated more than you'd like! It sure came out cool, just perhaps not a standard Sliver.
Also, I updated the Cockatrice decorative base. There were some hiccups which made in unprintable. It has been fixed and tested now! That supported STL has been shared with $5+ patrons.

I wanted to start the month off strong, so I really gave it my best!
I've played with the design of this a LOT. I really wanted to do something that struck a balance between the dragon and bird look.
I was actually a bit nervous to share this one, because it is already looking fairly non-traditional for a Cockatrice. The head is mostly done. I'll be adding wear and tear on the beak, and a few stray feather in his plume crest thing.
Thought this would be a cool progress shot to share because you can see the whole model in different stages.
