WIP: Aizawa

Good evening I have no idea what’s happening here. I thought I’d just take a crack at it, see how far I can get without references. I do struggle a lot to work without them as a starting point - which is fine! I am and will always be very pro-do-what-works-for-you. But I’d like to train myself into not relying on them so often, and see what ideas my brain can cook up for itself.

(Also, unrelated, the server is almost ready to launch, probably tomorrow!)

Discord Server: In Progress!

I'm just starting to put together a new Discord Server - and please, pray for me, because there is nothing more tedious than setting up a new server and messing with, ugh, rules.

The hope is that it will become a close-knit community of artists and writers, focusing on sharing advice, tutorials, and encouragement for creatives and Patron's. I will be inviting close friends into the server, but there will also be a space exclusively for Patron's.

Sketching and Lines!

I‘m not sure if this is useful or even particularly interesting, but I‘ve been messing around with a new way of doing my lines. Instead of doing line art I’m sketching (my Procreate sketch brush if anyone is interested: https://ko-fi.com/s/961a2469a6) and then erasing the sketch as needed. It seems to be a really good way of retaining the character you get in sketches that always seems to be lost when you do the line...

I’ve been trying to simplify my shapes and silhouettes a bit lately, putting a little less focus on the details and more on the overall shape. I find I tend to get bogged down by these things, and then when I step back the shading and the overall shape doesn’t really make much sense or have an awful lot of impact. So I hope this’ll help with that.

It also happens to be a lot of fun!

I bought myself two pairs of orange trainers, because my current style is ‘would Kacchan wear it? Yes I’ll throw that in the basket’. But it had me reeeally wanting to draw some sneakers, especially as they’re something I’m pretty bad at, so it was time to bring up a ‘Pinterest Special’ for reference!

It's heeeeere! I'm sorry it took so long for me to get this chapter out, I've not really been finding myself in the right mindset to write recently, but today I was able to finally get the next chapter finished.

No real warnings to note for this one, but more and more answers are slowly starting to trickle out, and I hope this chapter helps add to the *intrigue and mystery ooh ahh*

WIP: DEADICATION (but not really?) comic

I genuinely don’t know how this happened. I’ve never been able to convince myself to do comics even when I wanted to because they are terrifying, and yet this morning I had a quote in my head (and I can’t find out what song it’s even from?!) and then this appeared.

It’s not strictly based on a scene from DEADICATION - perhaps loosely inspired by some events to come? GUESS WE’LL SEE. Apparently stuff just happens to me now.
