Midway ??

Something probably unexpected, but Midway again! I finally managed to get my hands on some 1945 plans for the Midway, and was starting to make a conversion of my 1980s Midway when I made a horrifying discovery. Somehow I made my hull 12 blocks too wide the first time around... So here is the new bow at the correct width for the 1945 version. I probably won't work on this for a while because I was agnry the entire time making the new bow. I haven't even touched the stern yet. So who knows when...

Suites!

Skitteryfiber has been very busy on Titanic lately. Here are a few of the C-Deck suites he finished this week. All the C-Deck suites are now completed, we just have to finish the inboard cabins to get C-Deck finished up.

Aircraft Carrier Surgery

Bit of a sad update this week, turns out I made an error with Roosevelt. When trying to put in the catapults, the angle wasn't lining up correctly and after several hours of problem solving I realized the issue was that the Nimitz class.... has tumblehome. Not tumblehome as we think of on ocean liners, but very similar. The exterior wall slopes inward as it goes up from the hangar deck, so I have to demolish the wall, push it in at an angle, and rebuild all my elevators. A fix that will unfor...

Surprise?

Well this was the surprise thing I was working on, USS Yorktown CV-10 in Measure 33 camouflage. Ever since I built Intrepid I wanted to have an Essex class with their fancy camo, so I decided to convert a copy of Intrepid into Yorktown. I don't think I'll do any other Essex class carriers, since all 24 of them were virtually the same in the war and I don't really have an interest in the modernized versions. Let me know if you'd like to see more of the Essex class and I might add it to my list...

Interim Update

Still haven't finished what I want to show, so here's some more progress renders of Roosevelt from a few days ago. I'm trying to get something WWII finished up to show but I've been so busy lately its going slow. Definitely something new coming soon though I promise!

Roosevelt Progress

Been really motivated to work on Rosie lately, and been making some good progress. I've been focusing on the port side lately, so here are some shots showing off the port side as it looks now. I've got all the sponsons added but I'm still working on the catwalks and comms devices.

Titanic and Warship Update

Been working on Roosevelt this past week, got more done on the main port side catwalk and sponson. Skittery is laying out cabins on Titanic C Deck to keep the progress going as well. The big change this week was a huge overhaul I made to the warship pack. I changed several textures to have more accurate US camouflage colors from WW2, but these can also be used on warships from other nations and eras so it worked out well in the end. Finally Updates!

Finally feeling better that I can get back to Minecraft. This past week I got back to work on my T2 tank, the Pamanset and got quite a bit done on the forward deck. I've also made progress on Roosevelt's island, getting the radar mast and some more details added. Finally, we ran into a problem on Titanic; skittery accidentally placed a girder in the wrong spot for part of C and B deck aft, so he has to shift some things around to get it all lined up again. Sorry its been a while, I got sick and its been kicking my butt. I made a little progress on Roosevelt in the past week, finishing the elevators. Been kinda jumping around different projects lately, trying to find something that I'm gonna stick with consistently to the end

Short update to end the year. Skittery finished the 2nd class library this week and I've made more progress on the powertrain rooms at the stern. I've got some other things going on with other ships, but I'll save those for 2023. Happy new year everyone, and thanks for being patrons!

Titanic Update

Working on getting the stern tanks finished, and I got the uptakes put in. Just gotta add the braces to them and the casing can be finished around them. Skittery and Projekt Red have been doing some cabins on C Deck this past week. I've also started working on a hull for the SSUS but that's not ready to be shown quite yet. Stay tuned!

Titanic Interior Update/Download

USS Washington BB-56 (+Download)

Can't believe how fast I got this done, but here she is. Built in her November 1942 configuration when she fought and sank Kirishima off Guadalcanal. Warship pack is included in download, but if you have the most recent version from my PMC then nothing has changed.

She'll be posted on PMC soon, I have to do a daytime water render still but figured you guys would want her sooner. Enjoy!

A-Deck

Got another Titanic update for y'all! A-Deck is nearly completed in its entirety! Skitteryfiber and ProjektRed___ have been busy with cabins and pantries, as well as the Aft Grand Staircase in an attempt to get one entire deck finished, and they're very close! Skittery also went down to the Second Class Smoking Room and got that taken care of this past week, which looks great.
