Progress Report (June 21st 2018)

I have got quite a bit done in Chapter 2.  All of Howard's scenes are rendered.  The only thing taking me some extra time is this being the first time I have done random battles in one of my projects.  I think I am getting it, but as you know, I am about to leave on a business trip.  This annoys me as I prefer working on my projects!  So, while still possible, it is unlikely Chapter 2 will release until next month.

I just got home from a long day at my job, and I have a chance to share this!  I worked hard at trying to figure out Daz, and so, here is the first ever release of a chapter with my full CGI.  I don't claim to be the greatest, but I  am very happy with my work.  In my opinion, it is quite professional and of high quality.  Now, this one shall trickle down to the others in time...  

First Look- The Librarian

Here is a first look at my character, The Librarian.  Those that read all my lore know her true name, Hypatia of Alexandria.  As the millennia roll by, her appearance seems to somewhat match the era, but always with hints of history.  I was actually working on Cereborg: Inception, but when inspiration strikes, I always follow the flow.

So, it appears that more than 90% of you prefer I just save up and release it when I have a full three chapters done at once (remember this title is triple per chapter).  So, even though this month I will have that trip that is interfering with my progress, I do not foresee anything else impeding it in the future.  I will be trying to ask for less hours at work (god I hope my Patreon increases with time/ news about Factions), but I am staying at around 1k per month, so that will help o...

So, this month my numbers have not drastically moved around because people are not patroning me, then falling off at the end of the month.  And those that would hop in, make a fake donation, and then after getting something, un-patron have been unable to escape.  So, I can say that this way of doing it has been successful!  Thank you, Patreon for finally giving me this!

Progress Report (June 14th 2018)

As you folks know, this month has been brutal at my real-world job.  Like last week, today is my only day off, and in a week I'll be flying out for the business meeting.  So, rest assured, I am working as much as I can find the time.  I did manage to finish Chieko's chapter 2, and I am working on Howard's, and I have almost all his scenes rendered, but I have not had time to write the story yet.

Looks like my job is sending me to a business trip.  It will take five days, so that will set me back quite a few hours.  Now, it is possible that even with this set back, I might still finish Chap 2 before July.  However, in the case that I don't, I am holding a poll.  It is quite simple, as my investors do you want me to release whatever I have at the beginning of July, or wait and release Chap 2 when I have it finished.

Progress Report June 6th 2018

So, as you know, Chapter One was remastered and sent out and will make its usual round until public.  Since its release, I have rendered all of Chieko's Chap 2 backgrounds (but not all characters yet) and wrote her Chap 2.  It is at 5,000 words long, not counting possible Bad Ends.  My current desire is to have all of her stuff done by the weekend at the latest.

I have changed to Charge Upfront!

As of today- FINALLY and thankfully, Patreon is giving me the 'charge up front' ability!  So, I wanted to kind of go over it with everyone.

What it means to me:  First of all, for me, it is wonderful!  It means instead of having to email all of you every time I update a chapter or game, now I can just put a link, and you can all download it at your leisure (this gives me more time to create for you!)  And- no more scammers!

Cereborg: Inception (C:I) Ch 1 Early Release Imminent...

I have almost finished Chapter 1, and I am 100% certain I should be able to release it after my Patreon payments post (they STILL have yet to give me the ability to charge upfront).  It will be rewritten somewhat.  For example I will tone down some of Howard's euphemisms and slightly change some scenes.  Then, next month, I will start to get the variables ready and do the next chapter.  So, it shan't be too much longer before you can get your first taste of nanites!

Cereborg Fantasy

I spent too much time tonight on this (it's the new version of the scene in Chapter 1 where Chieko fantasizes about being owned by machines).  I learned a bit more, and it turned out well.  However, even with the super new machine, it still took over two hours to render.  Lots of lighting, reflections, and such, so I obviously won't be able to make every scene like this!  But, I figure a few really highly detailed ones like this will be cool.  I learned how to use camera...

After a full day at work, I came home and becan working on Chieko.  It took five hours but she is complete!  Of course, all these first looks are just my first shot at these characters, and some things might change, but I am happy with her, and I have to go get some sleep!

Progress Report (May 24th 2018)

I am finally off work today, and I am working on finishing the art for Chapter 1's re-release.  I am expecting to have it finished before June, and then it is off to Chapter 2.  Whenever I do not have time to do a whole scene or before I go to bed, I have also just spent a few minutes poking around in Daz to learn more as well (remember this is all new to me!).  I am always finding cool new things- and coming up with ideas!

Progress Report (May 17th 2018)

So, as of yesterday, I finally managed to move everything to my new computer.  Getting everything over in Daz and arranged correctly was a tiring chore, but it is done.  So, I lost a day of working on Cereborgs, but I think having the ability to render so much faster on the scenes should get me back to where I was rather quickly.  I am still working on redoing the first chapters of Inception with the models, and I am currently working on Chieko's path (I just made my 'Marv Everett...

So, I got the new computer home and hooked them both up.  I copied a Daz scene over so that both computers were on the exact same scene with the same lighting, render settings, (ultra HD 16:9) and rendered.

My old computer: 41 minutes 29 secs

My new computer 8 minutes 22 secs

So, there we have it!  This means this investment should have an excellent return by the speed at which I can produce per hour.  Now I might be able to get 5 or 6 done in an hour in...

Cereborg Promo Emily

So, even though I work all day today, and put in my usual time at my 'real world' job, I am working hard on Cereborgs.  My new machine has not come in yet, so renders are taking a bit, but I am getting better at Daz all the time.  You might recall this being one of the original Cereborg scenes!  I have been replacing the original art with my renders, and working hard to get the ball rolling on this title!  Hope you enjoy the teaser!

Speaking of saving time! First Look!

Speaking of saving time with charge upfront so that I can focus more on creations- welcome to the Giggler's Carnival!  It shall not only appear in my Giggle Night novel, but will be a level on my Factions game!  I did my first render of it last night, and I am pleased with my first run through!

Not sure what is happening...
