Sunday Devblog – August 31, 2025

Happy Sunday!

August is wrapping up, and it has been a packed month. Between all the story, art, and community feedback, I feel like we’ve made huge progress toward Chapter 6. Looking ahead, I want to remind everyone that from September 7th my work time will be more limited since I’ll be away for travel and wedding prep. That said, I still plan to put in hours every morning to keep things moving.

For free members, a quick recap of the recent poll: I asked whether you would prefer a smaller early September release or wait for the full Chapter 6 later. The majority voted to wait, so the plan is to deliver the full package before the end of October.

Progress this week

Worked on the post time-skip queen labs event (teaser in the header of this post: Ryouko). The less I say the better.

The rest of my time went into finishing up the exam week content. I’m already glad we decided not to rush a release, because taking a step back gave me space to rethink how the exam system should work.

Now, the week leading up to exams will have teachers reminding the player in their lessons. To pass the exams and rank higher than all the girls, you’ll need 20 knowledge and to answer all the questions correctly.

At the end of each exam the player will reflect on how they did. If you aced it, the dialogue will hint at that with something like “I feel confident about my answers”. This way you aren’t left completely in the dark until the next week when results are posted.

I’ve also finished all the unique reward scenes for each girl if you get a perfect score. Each girlfriend reacts differently and rewards the player, so these are highly missable moments but I hope the payoff feels special for those who earn them.

I think 20 knowledge as the requirement is fair. You can pick up plenty through random encounters and answering correctly in class, and the week before exams gives you time to catch up if you’re behind.

(Of course each girlfriend does their best to motivate the player ;) )

I also had fun writing each girls reaction to the player's perfect score. Naomi being the one grading the player's paper, and Hino grumbling about how the player ended up smarter than her.

On top of that, I spent more time working on post-timeskip scenes. I need to be careful about spoilers here, but I hope to share more pics soon.

Work in September:

I brought Beriya on board again to write the Kaz sidestory. Not going to release it before ch6 but I am making sure that September is a productive month and that earnings go back into making StrongGirls better.

NSFW Friday - Queen route girls

This week I wanted to give the Queen route cast some highlights. I hope to do side stories for them soon. The teal haired girl is Ryouko who got (spoiler) to test the serum to heal her cerebral palsy in the end of chapter 5.

(mild chapter 6 spoiler) Since she is under monitoring, she isn't allowed to leave Queen labs. So she naturally gets quite bored. She picked up a new hobby of working out. Which unsurprisingly lead to some nice additional effects ;) Likewise I highlight Karina the new nurse who joins Queen. These pics are less 'directed' as I was testing different posing. But wanted to share the highlights.

Finally we got some tasteful Harumi pics.

Hope I can keep things exciting as the wait for ch6 got extended a bit! As always share your wishes and requests!

Sunday Devblog: August 24, 2025

Hey everyone!

Last week I held a poll in the devblog offering all supporters to vote on whether they'd prefer a shorter early release or wait for the completed chapter 6.

The results of the poll are in. 31% voted for a release soon, while the majority voted to wait. I want to sincerely thank you all for the thoughtful comments and support that came with those votes. If anything, it just reminds me that this is the best community I could ask for.

I completely understand that those who voted for a release soon will be a bit bummed to have to wait longer. All I can say is that the extra time will ensure the game gets the polish it really needs. I want to please everyone, but I believe a rushed release, even if it had trimmed content, wouldn’t deliver the experience you deserve.

So here is my pledge: Chapter 6 will be ready before the end of October, in time for a release before Halloween. At the very least, the timing will fit perfectly with the theme.

If this upsets you I completely understand. You pledge to this patreon and expect a release then it doesn't come. I'd be upset too! If you have grievances please DM me. I will take the time to chat with you.

All this said, after last week’s outpouring of support I can say I’m fired up to deliver the best update possible. I’m already working on the second half of the update, and I’m hoping to have some screenshots ready to share next week.

As for this week's progress, I finished up the remaining sex scenes and then the rest of this week was more under-the-hood work, focusing on bug fixing and making sure all the girl routes connect properly so events trigger as they should. Not much to show off, but sets me up to be ready for launch.

Q&A

Q: Why not release the first half anyway? Those who are okay to wait can wait?
A: Preparing the game for release even if cutting content means I need to spend time cutting out the content that isn't finished and make sure I don't break anything while I am at it. It takes away time I could put towards the completed chapter 6. Further, I'd need to prepare for the 1080p version so that everyone gets served equally and the 1080p version requires me to shrink all the assets carefully needs to be play tested as well. All this to say it isn't as easy as just upload what's finished.

Q: Why not leave unfinished content in? Just upload it as is!
A: Because then the files will have art that isn't ready, scripts that aren't polished, and I will get comments in the discord about bugs that are really just unfinished scenes. It will result in confusion at best, and lots un unnecessary spoilers at worst.

Q: So what's left?
A: The individual girl stories and post Christmas content. We all want more dates with our favorite girls right?

Hey everyone! Important poll at the bottom of this post so please read carefully.

This week has been busy and I’m close to finishing all the pre-timeskip content. Most of my time went into art for the girls’ intimate scenes, and it’s coming together well. Here are a few screenshots to share a glimpse:

Now onto the important part.

Chapter 6 is taking longer than planned. I underestimated how much nuance I need to tie together all the character arcs and events into the time-skip to make things connect coherently. I also misjudged how much time I'd have to work on the game over the summer, since a lot of real life obligations took time from me.

I want your input on the release plan:

Option 1 : Smaller early September update:

• Halloween event (9 variants, one for each girl)

• 9 intimate scenes, one for each girl

• Exam event

• 1 Queen lab event

• 1 Kasumi lab event

• Main story up to the big Christmas reveal and timeskip montage

• (Will also ship with all side stories up until now, including the latest Raven, and Sumi side stories)

(This version would not include individual girl story progress, extra dates, or Valentine’s Day yet.)

Option 2: Full chapter 6 scope, but wait longer.

The orignal scope of all of the above, plus post-timeskip events such as valentines day, and meaningful progression on all the girls story arcs. (ex, manami drama club continued, naomi wrestling rivalry, etc etc) and additional optional dates.

I hate pushing this back. I’ve been wrestling with getting every scene to land properly, and it’s hard to still be behind schedule. But I’d rather give you something memorable than rush it and regret it. Your choice here will help me decide how to move forward.

If you choose option 2, then I cannot guarantee when it will release. Here is why:

From September 7th onward I’ll be busy organizing my wedding. Even though I’m already married, we never had a proper ceremony because we got married during covid. Now I’ve finally managed to save enough to make it happen for my wife and our families. Since we’ll be doing the ceremony in Japan I’ll also be coordinating travel and logistics for my side of the family.

That’s why I offer the chance to lock in a release before I go on a hiatus. Or if you're okay to wait for a later release. Then I'd be back working on the game in October.

Thank you all for understanding, for supporting, and for helping me shape the direction of the project. I’ll keep pushing and keep you updated.

Hey everyone!

This week I’ve been deep in story scene work for Chapter 6. Most of the scenes I've worked on are key story beats, so I don’t have a lot I can safely show without giving too much away.

The few screenshots I do have would probably hint a bit too heavily at what’s coming, so I’m going to be extra careful here. I shared a ton of screenshots last week, so hopefully you’ll forgive me for holding back this time.

What I can say is that these shots are from the Christmas event, and it’s a sequence with some important story moments. This part of Chapter 6 is one I’m really looking forward to seeing you all play through.

Thanks again for sticking with me and supporting the project. I’ll keep plugging away and share more as soon as it’s safe to do so without spoiling the fun.

NSFW Friday, Yor edition

Yor is arguably one of the strongest female anime protagonists. Some of the feats of strength she does leaves me floored. I felt inspired to give her the StrongGiirls treatment.

You could consider this is a boost to her already existing strength or a proper visualization of how strong she really is. Either way I really adore her with muscle. Her kind and protective nature makes her a perfect match for the StrongGirls universe. I don't think I will be doing more fan-art posts like this, so this is a one-off. Next week I'll focus on giving highlight to one of the side story girls.

Sunday Devblog: August 3, 2025

Hey everyone!

This week I’ve been focused on making the final touches to all pre-timeskip scenes in Chapter 6. That includes Halloween event, a Kasumi route moment, a Queen route development, and the exam week storyline.

Writing Progress and Challenges

The writing side has presented some real challenges this week. The timeskip serves as a narrative shift where most girls begin to show permanent changes after regularly using the serum. That means I need to account for characters like Miyu and Hino starting daily serum usage, regardless of how far the player has progressed in their individual routes.

This creates a domino effect. In order for the post-timeskip events to make sense I need to:

• Create alternate scenes that show Miyu and Hino deciding to use the serum before the timeskip

• Lock off their storylines if the player hasn’t progressed far enough with them before that point

Initially I planned to let the player's progression dictate how these things unfold, but the combinations quickly got out of hand. The exam week also got a bit unwieldy as writing every possible variant of whether Miyu or Hino had or had not used the serum before exams became unsustainable.

So now I’m going with a cleaner route. I’ll be working on new scenes before the exams where Miyu and Hino make the decision to use the serum daily if the player has not progressed far enough with them. This keeps things coherent, but will also mean their routes get locked off if you did not progress enough with them.

About the Release Window

All of this is just one example of how the scope of Chapter 6 keeps expanding as I try to make sure every piece fits together logically.

At the current rate, I’m starting to feel it may be unlikely to hit the end of August release. I’m doing my best to maintain momentum, but I don’t want to rush something this big and interconnected.

On a more personal note, I’d really like to have the release finished before mid-September, since I’ll have some real-life obligations and events that might limit how much I can work on the game after that. (Sorry to be vague.) So I am working hard to make that the case.

I just want to keep expectations in check while also saying I’m really excited about how this chapter is shaping up. Thank you so much for your continued support and patience. It means everything.

NSFW Friday - Pantie pull and Bookstore lady

This week I got semi obsessed with this pose of a girl growing and pulling up her panties and I kind of went with it a bit.

Also on last week's post, supporter LarsGrimm requested the bookstore lady Miho. When her sprite was originally rendered it was so early in development that it's a really dated model. So trying to make Miho again seemed llike a fun challenge. While I cannot say she looks the same I think I landed on a similar enough look.

Sunday Devblog – July 27, 2025

Hey everyone!

This week I’ve been deep in Chapter 6 production, with lots of focus on both art and writing.

The Halloween scenes are close to completion, but there’s still some art left to wrap up. As usual, I couldn’t resist adding a few things I hadn’t originally planned... so the FMG art for the Halloween segment still isn’t fully done. That part usually takes a bit more time, and with 9 girls, it’s a lot to get through.

Plus I decided last minute each girl needs a full body shot when they first arrive so we can appreciate their full outfit. I found myself burning out a bit on doing all the variations, so I decided to take a short break to clear my head.

In the meantime, I went ahead and finished most of the exam scenes. For the exams, you’ll be able to earn a perfect score if your knowledge stat is 20 and you answer all the questions correctly. The questions are based on things discussed in classrooms throughout earlier chapters, so I hope you’ve been paying attention. If you ace the exams, you’ll unlock unique dialogue in several scenes that follow.

I also spent time working on art for the upcoming story scenes. As we move into fall, Yuka will be trying to bring Hino more into the inner circle (screenshot in the header of the post), partly due to certain developments involving the Oshima family. No spoilers here, but it’ll be a big shift.

And speaking of new characters, I’ve completed all the sprite variations for the elderly Queen test subject. Her name is Obayashi Fumiko. Oba just means grandma, so yes... real creative naming on my part haha.

All of Fumiko’s sprites are done, and I’m looking forward to introducing her properly when the time comes. There’s a lot to be excited about, but I’ll need to stay careful about what I show to avoid spoilers... both for story beats and FMG reveals.

One of our super supporters asked me for a Giantess themed post this week, I aim to deliver. I admit this one took some workshopping to get good stuff. But once I got the hang of it, I went on a roll!

I had to make this post non-public (only for paid tiers) because of some risky screenshots. Sorry free members! But I promised screenshots this week.

Hey everyone!

This week was a big one for art and sprite work. I’ve finished most of the sprites for the Halloween and exam period events in Chapter 6, and everything is finally starting to click into place. Each character in costume get multiple reactions so we're looking at dozens sprites.
Here are a few screenshots to give you a taste:

I’ve also been working on art for the main story scenes. There’s growth content and though I don't want to spoil here's a little preview of an elderly lady who plays a role in the Queen route and who might be... getting some FMG.

I pictured someone who is really old and in bad shape and I think I got a good character here. With her, we will push the limits of what the Serum could possibly do for her.

Here is Yuki from Kasumi route. I already shared extra stuff of her in the NSFW friday post but indeed she is getting some growth in ch6.

I’m super locked in right now. The writing flow is strong and I’m making real progress on scene implementation and final scripting. I know many of you are looking forward to this chapter, and I want you to know I’m going hard to hit that late August release window. Everything’s on track, and I’m excited about how it’s shaping up.

Hey everyone!

Let’s start with the poll results for the next side story. The winner is
Kaz: The Chemistry Teacher with 48 votes!

She came out on top with a huge advantage. Second place was Hiroko, the travel blogger who earned 28 votes.

The poll this time had quite a few favorites bunched close together. Next (tie) Hana and Saki both just under 25Ms. Akira and Aria were not far behind either.

Kaz won by a lot but it was quite evenly split for the others. It's good to see these results as it helps me spark ideas for when they eventually get their time in the spotlight.

Development Update

This week I’ve been working on Kaori’s scenes for Chapter 6 and also started putting together costume sprites for the Halloween section. Thanks to the recent AI model upgrade, the results have been much better than before. Costume variety is looking solid and the polish is improving across the board.

That said, most of my time has gone into writing, not sprite work, so I don’t have much to show this week. The goal is to shift focus next week to visuals and get a batch of screenshots ready to tease in the next devblog.

(A lot of fine details and sword wasn't possible before but now looks quite good!)

Last week Shiori was requested by two separate supporters so I had to deliver!

I wanted her huge, but she also is the smallest base sprite in the entire game meaning she is challenging similar to Nene to get right. I think the last few images where she is at the beach I got a good glimpse into what her final form may be in-game. A sort of confident version of her where she loses the glasses and puts her hair down. Just an idea. Thoughts?

Sunday Devblog July 6, 2025

Hey everyone!

This week I’ve been focused on writing the Queen route for Chapter 6. One thing I’ve been thinking about is how Kasumi’s route currently has more characters, which makes the two routes feel a bit unbalanced. Kasumi is also a dateable character, which adds to her side’s weight.

Part of the imbalance is due to the side story polling. Nene, Raven, Mika, Ayane, they all have their own stories. So far Queen only has Lisa and Megumi.

To help balance things out, I had been planning on fleshing out queen a lot more in chapter 6. For one I’m introducing a new character to the Queen route. She has been requested for a while by one of our Ultra Tier supporters. Meet Karina.

Karina is an experienced nurse with a detached demeanor. She mostly works with elderly patients and will be introduced into the Queen route as Harumi begins expanding serum trials to older subjects. I think she’ll add an interesting dynamic to the story.

Some lines I already wrote for her are

karina "Difficult patients? You mean the ones who actually have personalities left?"

karina "I'm the nurse. If something goes wrong, call the doctor. If they die, call the coroner. Simple."

Queen will also have the 'test subject' girls. Ryouko which we already saw in the last chapter and a new elderly which I will show off more probably in next weeks post.

On another note, I’ve seen a lot of interest in adding a female bodybuilder. Someone who is already huge before touching the serum. I’ve been workshopping some designs, and I’ve landed on what I think hits the mark. The vibe is a mature tomboy, strong and confident.

She will first appear as an onlooker during the gym dates. When I say onlooker I mean it. She won't be getting much story in chapter 6 since I need to keep the scope in check. But planting her now will result in her being viable for side stories or future encounters in the game.

Let me know what you think of the design! It's not final and some super supporters already said they prefer a different hairstyle.

As for the side story poll from last week, Kaz is winning! I will still leave the poll open for a week so there is a chance for a turnaround. If you're a super supporter, make sure you vote!

If Kaz ends up winning, then it's like we’re speedrunning through the entire teacher roster haha. The next side story will be made after Chapter 6, which gives me room to build her up a bit in the main game before she gets the spotlight.

First off, wow, it's the end of June already? I mean tomorrow. Time flies!

Also tomorrow, I’ll be posting the poll for the next side story, open to all Super Tier and above supporters. Just a kind reminder though: I don’t plan to release another side story in July. Instead, I’ll be using the month to build more headwind for Episode 6 development.

Speaking of Episode 6, I don't want to share spoilers, of course, but here are screenshots for some nice intrigue:

Lastly, I’ve been posting some animated clips on socials. I’m currently trying out the AI animation and experimenting a bit. Since I know I’ll get this question: No, I don’t have plans to add animations into the game itself right now.

Here’s why:

• File sizes balloon very quickly. The 4k game will easily become dozens of gigabytes with animations.

• AI animation is still inconsistent. It just isn't good enough to put time into now.

• It would slow down development significantly.

So for now, these animations are just a fun bonus for socials! You can catch them on:

Today we're doing Kaori! Ultra user David McKee asked for Kaori doing cosplays, specifically Mari from Evangelion. I took the concept and did a few extra cosplays. Cosplays are tricky since the model will give me a meld of the original character and Kaori so my job becomes to find the acceptable middle point.

I also did some Kaori date concepts.

Thank you so much for your support this week, and especially for the kind comments on my last post. I really appreciate it. I’m fully recovered now and have been working hard to keep Sumi’s Side Story on track.

We’re currently beta testing with Ultra supporters, and if all goes well, I’ll be posting the full release in a few hours for all tiers!

With Sumi’s story out the door, it’s time to shift gears.
Now begins the sprint to finish Chapter 6!

Starting next week, I plan to begin sharing screenshots from Chapter 6. That said, this chapter is heavily story-focused, so I’ll need to be extra careful to avoid spoilers. But I’m excited to start giving you a peek at what’s to come.

Naomi seeing how far she can push herself at the gym! It's midnight, nobody is around, the moonlight shines through the window, let's go wild! This week is Naomi Gym variations! I can't recall who but Naomi was requested.

I am really pushing the giga sizes here, big shoulders and traps.

Pushing for giga sizes is definitely still a bit finicky, even with the model improvements but it's more flexible than before.

(Threw in a bonus Hino and Manami at the end there. Manami with big traps and shoulders is very nice.)

Planning to do dominant Hino for next weeks theme, let me know what you'd like to see more of!

Quick update

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to check in real quick. Sorry for the silence this week.I missed both Friday’s NSFW album and Sunday’s usual devblog. My baby got pretty sick earlier in the week so I wasn’t able to send her to kindergarten, had to take care of her, and not long after I ended up catching the same bug. Been mostly stuck in bed since, and honestly haven’t had the energy to do much of anything StrongGirls related.

I hate not being able to keep the usual posting rhythm, but sometimes real life just crashes in. Thanks so much for being patient with me through it.

I’m hoping to be back at it soon and still aiming to get the next side story out before the weekend like we planned. Appreciate you all as always.

Sunday Devblog 06/08/2025

Hi everyone,

Good news! I've been working hard on the Sumi side story this week and I’ve wrapped up all the art, and even added some new music to help set the tone. I was fairly quick with this one since the scope is much smaller than Raven, not so many new backgrounds or characters... But! there’s definitely a surprise in there... any guesses? I’ll save that for when you play it. I have a bad habit of spoiling too much in these Sunday posts, and let’s just say... doing them weekly makes it very hard not to share everything.

Still, I’ll drop a few screenshots here that won’t spoil the surprise:

You will notice I updated Sumi's sprites. The original sprites were made very early in chapter 5 development and so they relied on methods I don't use anymore. In order to make her new sprites consistent, I decided to update her completely.

Release date?

I usually release side stories in the latter half of the month, so I’m planning to cool off from Sumi for a bit and aim for a release on the 21st (with Ultra supporters getting beta access on the 19th). That also marks one month since Raven, so the pacing lines up well.

Looking Ahead

I mentioned before that I won’t be releasing another side story until Chapter 6 is out. That means July will be a break from new side stories, so I can focus fully on the main game and get everything ready for a late August release.

Unused images from episode Raven! This is part 1. I will post part 2 next month since the other half is on my hard drive back home. I working on the road at the moment.

There are a lot more Noriko images in here than you may expect. I originally intended for the episode to include a clash with Noriko but instead decided to focus on the drama between Raven and Mika. Gotta Save the Noriko arc for whenever Noriko gets voted in the polls!

Strong Girls Pricing Update + Annuals Memberships Now Available

Hey everyone!

Quick update with two important things to cover today.

• Annual Memberships + Discount: I’ve introduced annual subscriptions (where you will save 15% on your membership).
  I’ve gotten quite a few DMs over the last year with a request for this option, and it blows me away that you want to support the project like this.

• $1 Price Increase: Starting next Wednesday there will be a $1 increase for two of the three Patreon tiers. This is for:

  • The “Visual Novel Game Access” tier (the $4 tier will increase to $5 USD/month). 

  • The Super Supporter Tier (will go from $9  up to $10 USD/month). 

  • NOTE: The Ultra Tier will remain at $15 USD per month and will not be changed.

Does This New Price Impact My Current Patreon Membership Pricing?

No. Your billing will not increase as long as you are an active member at the existing price point.

These new prices only apply to new subscriptions on Patreon.

If you're already subscribed, nothing changes, unless you cancel your membership and come back at a later date.
Simply put: You keep your current price for life as long as you are a member.

Does Paying Annually Lock Me In At The Lower Existing Rate?

The annual subscriptions will allow you to lock in the current existing and lower prices, AND you also get a full year at a discount of what you’d get from paying month-to-month.

Again, this isn’t mandatory! I’m only adding it because so many people have messaged me about wanting to support the project in a bigger way.

Why The Price Change?

A few reasons. 

• I personally feel there’s so much value in the game, as it exists, and the small increase in price helps me be able to give it even more focus. I feel it’s a fair value exchange for what’s included (beyond “just the game”, like monthly side-stories, access to our amazing discord community and more).

• I quit my job to work on this project full time, and the small increase will help provide more breathing room. I don’t talk much about my personal life, however as a new father and husband, I want to be able to best show up for my family while continuing to develop this game.

My goal is to always push myself as a developer and to push the genre and storytelling quality of visual novels even higher - to make a more ambitious, immersive game overall.

In short: This change helps me to build the best version of StrongGirls possible.

When Does The New Price Kick In?

The price change for new members will go into effect on Wednesday, June 11th.

If you’ve been waiting to jump in, or to upgrade from a “free” account where you’re following updates and into a membership, or if you’ve thought about upgrading to the Super Support tier, you have one week to lock in the current lower prices.
