Happy Sunday! Hope you're doing well.

This week, I’ve been deep in writing for the special serum scenes. With the decision to start these scenes with the girls in their normal (non-enhanced) forms, it wouldn’t make sense for Miyu to come all the way to the player’s apartment in her wheelchair. So, I decided to set these scenes in different locations instead.

For Miyu, that meant creating her room, which you can see in the header image. Manami will also have her scene in her own room, and Saya too—so I still need to design Saya’s room before I can finish hers.

This week was mostly focused on writing, but Hino’s scene is mostly done. 

I’m also working on updating Kasumi’s base (non-enhanced) sprites to keep things consistent. Will post next week!

Nene Side Story

The writing is in progress, but no art just yet. It's not much of a spoiler to say Nene will consume a ton of serum so I have workshopped some sizes. I want her to be big but still pleasing proportions. Which is a challenge for a girl who is meant to be one of the smallest characters to begin with.

I really appreciate your support! I’m focusing full-time on making these scenes the best they can be, and I’m excited to share more soon. I can't guarantee they will all be done before I need to make the art for Nene's side story but rest assured, there is a lot of content on the way.

Sunday Devblog 03/02/2025

Happy Sunday! Hope you're doing well! (What, March already? Why is February so short!)

This week, I’ve been fully focused on the special serum scenes. So far, I’ve completed the writing for Miyu, Naomi, and Hino, with most of the art done for Hino!

For Hino, I had to go back and redo her basic sprites (her non-enhanced look), which she will now have for the first half of the game before discovering the serum. I had to do this to keep her growth in the special serum scenes consistent. Most notable change is she wears a short sleeve shirt in her non-enhanced state like every other school uniform. Here is a comparison of new sprites with old ones (also added one extra 'surprised ' reaction)

Ans here is a comparison with her enhanced sprites so you can see that she remains consistent.

Scene Adjustments

Originally, I planned for all the special serum scenes to take place in the player's room, but after some feedback from the Super Supporter Discord, I decided to mix it up a bit. Miyu's scene will now take place in her own room—it makes sense given that she’s in a wheelchair when not enhanced. With this change, I’m now working on updating Miyu’s basic wheelchair sprites to match.

Some other locations: We haven't seen Saya's room yet, so that's another one I want to add. We have Manami's room but it is underused so I will use that as well.

5.1 Progress

With Mrs. Jiro’s side story released last Sunday, I’m pushing hard to finish 5.1, which will focus on the special serum scenes. Since I’ve outsourced the March (Nene) side story, I can now dedicate full attention to wrapping this up.

NSFW Friday February(2025) week 3

NSFW Friday!

Came across a great prompt for a leather harness style outfit. Decided I wanted a sequence with a somewhat mature woman. I like this design a lot.

Next I experimented with Nene a lot. As her side story is coming up we need to decide how much she grows. I also haven't decided if I want flat chest, small boobs, or expanded breasts.

I am leaning towards small breasts after enhancement - with flat chest on the lower sizes. I don't see her growing bigger breasts but let me know what you think!

This is the longest side story to date I hope you enjoy it. I am very proud of this one and believe the longer development time was worth it!

I am happy I managed to finish Mrs. Jiro just in time for the Sunday update. This side story contains multiple new characters, some new locations and soundtracks.

My initial scope for Mrs. Jiro was more compact, but it expanded into something more. I felt that it wouldn't be appropriate to just have Mrs. jiro get the serum and then end it. I needed to dig deeper into her insecurities and motivations.

This episode was a fun challenge as it had me work on more size comparisons. In the main game we rarely get size comparisons since we see the girl from the Main character perspective.

What's next:

I will work on finishing up the 5.1 release that includes updated sprites and special serum scenes.

I have also outsourced next month's side story to the same writer who handled Episode Megumi. With Mrs. Jiro taking a lot of my time, I realized I needed to outsource the writing for the next side story. Beriya will spearhead the writing for episode Nene and he has already given me a very compelling story outline. I am very excited for this one!

Those of you who have been around the patreon for a while may remember Gobbo as one of the contributing developers for StrongGirls. He did many UI elements and a lot of under-the-hood coding.

He did:

• The chapter select code (And some of the art!)

• The textbox styling and sprites that appear when characters talk - he wrangled the game to collect character colors to display them properly.

• The quick menu bar on the right!

I may still commission his help for future coding if the inspiration strikes. I bring him up because he started his own patreon a few weeks ago and released his own FMG game!

Hope you're having a good Sunday!

I know many of you had hoped for a release of Mrs. Jiro side story this weekend but I need a little more time to cook for this one.

I had a hard time writing this one and kept rewriting my direction with it. Mrs. Jiro is an authoritative figure and it was hard to put her in a situation where it's believable that she takes the serum of her own volition.

I had some writer's block at a level I hadn't experienced before. But I got back into momentum now and hope to release this week.

I know I am vague as I am trying to avoid spoilers. I put one screenshot in the header to give you some visual progress on this side story.

While struggling to write I put time into working on art for other parts of the game instead. I plan on updating more sprites along with the Special Serum 5.1 update so look forward to that!

Hope you forgive me for a bit of a short update this week. We'll be rolling out content soon! Thank you for your patience.

This week I explored some poses for larger sizes, especially the beach bimbo series. Some of these are from iterations where I was working on special serum scenes. I often work on a pose without a specific girl to try and get a baseline - since doing specific girls can influence the pose a lot.

Sunday Devblog 02/09/2025

Happy Sunday! Hope you're doing well.

This week I've been working on the Mrs. Jiro side story. As seen in the header image, Jiro gets some fitness tips from Naomi! For Mrs. Jiro I wanted the side story to have a bit more build up. I wanted her to first experience how tough it is to make progress without the serum. (It also gives her a chance to spot some other girls in the gym)

Release?

Last Sunday I was confident I'd release it this week but unfortunately I've stalled a bit.

Since the camping trip ended early I was still on vacation with my family until Wednesday where we did some day trips. I expected to be able to just jump back into work on the game but I was hit with immense writers block.

Beriya, the man behind the scenes doing proofreading for the game, advised me to take more time off. Chapter 5 had me working like wild to get it done. So I took some more time off.

Thank you for your understanding.

That said, I still made progress on this side story and have been experimenting on other aspects of the game. I rewrote some code for the growth function to add a little breathing/pulsing effect to the sprites. This should make the FMG sequences feel more dynamic as each growth stage gets movement. I also worked on some of the art for the 5.1 release.

Poll!

Nene takes the win for March! Nene will be getting an origin story. What we learned about her when going for the Kasumi route will play into this:

The runner up is the StrongGirls dancer that escaped with the serum. I am surprised to have an unseen character rank so high but here we are! For this girl I've been workshopping some designs as I showed off in the NSFW Friday post and also on deviant art here and we are going for a Goth Girl. It's been highly requested for a while that the StrongGirls Universe gets a proper goth.

Roadmap for chapter 6

I believe I am done mapping out the scope for Chapter 6 - I will share here without story spoilers in hopes of getting some feedback.

Chapter 6 will cover Halloween, and will jump forward in time a bit to Christmas with most of the winter season being somewhat story focused. Regular girl stories/ date scenes will not be accessible during the winter as that would require me to make winter outfits and winter specific dialogue for all the dates, it simply isn't feasible. Regular gameplay will then pickup in march which will be where chapter 7 starts.

The idea is that chapter 6 will really drive the story forward while awarding the player with girlfriend specific christmas/newyears/valentines. So we will still get plenty of content for each girl.

In terms of scene count I haven't decided the exact scope, it will depend on the story scenes.

NSFW Friday February week 1

This week is a double feature! I was trying some new things here with inpainting veins. I got mixed reactions to the veins in the discord so let me know here what you think. Moving forward I don't think I'll do veins this much, I'm mostly happy with where the style is for the time being. But NSFW Fridays is a chance for me to experiment.

Speaking of experimenting, I attempted some new character designs here. Mainly the goth girl. Seeing the unseen stronggirls dancer ranking so high in the poll, I figured she would be a goth design that the community has been asking for.

I would be happy to take your input on the goth design what you'd like to see. I did a one here that had a sort of messy short style but realized it looks a bit similar to Naomi's hair. The first image in the album is the style I was most happy with, sort of medium length hair with her hair covering her eyes slightly.

Any further input is appreciated!

Sunday Devblog 02/02/2025

Hi hope you're having a fantastic Sunday!

I'm a bit late with the post today. Some unexpected weather made me pack up the camping trip and beeline back to town so I spent the day driving.

This week I've been away a bit. Took some time off working on the game like I mentioned in the last Sunday post. But I've also done some work on the Mrs.Jiro side story. I will be gunning for a release next Sunday.

Some screenshots

In the last screenshot you see Toma, the history teacher. I did not have enough time to make scenes for him in the chapter 5 release so it is my intention to add his teacher scenes to the next release. But we get to meet him here in Jiro's side story.

His full name is Toma Rekishiro. I chose it because Toma sounds like Tome (book) and Rekishiro is a sort of pun on the word Rekishi which means history in Japanese. He likes to talk about the great historical figures and relate it to modern daily struggles.

For the side story, it starts with Mrs. Jiro is struggling with this next chapter in her life. I set up her situation in chapter 5. She decides to seek advice from the other teachers on the faculty. She also overhears Miyu and Saya talk about their extreme sports plans.

I imagine Saya and Miyu being good friends what with Miyu wanting to try all kinds of sports and Saya always being ready to jump into action.

Next up! We have the ongoing poll that decides the March Side story. Here are the current numbers.

With chapter 5 released there are a lot of new characters that have potential side stories. A lot of these caught me by surprise. I did not expect the Secretary, (Karen) to get this many votes. I also expected Yuki to get more votes.

Nene has taken the lead. For the longest time Nene and StrongGirls dancer were neck-to-neck with equal votes.

Nene does not come as a surprise, I put a lot of time into writing her. I included some teasers of her in the Super Discord channel way back before Chapter 5 released and she caught a lot of love from the community so I ended up making her more visible in Chapter 5 (plus a small FMG sequence).

I also originally intended the serum to affect Yui more - but I couldn't make it work in the story so I kept it super subtle in the end release.

March Side story poll

With chapter 5 out the options have expanded dramatically! Since I will release Mrs. Jiro in February, this poll represents the March candidate.

I decided to allow multiple choice since there are so many options. I set the deadline for Sunday 9th of February.

Devblog 01/26/2025

It's now been a week since Chapter 5 released and a lot has happened!

First of all, a big thank you to everyone for reporting bugs and helping me polish up the game. I mistakenly believed I was able to review the project myself, but there were numerous bugs that I missed.

The lesson is quite clear: make sure to playtest with more people before releasing.

Thank you for your amazing feedback and reviews as well! It seems the chapter is generally well received and I hope that now with the systems in place, future updates will be more about adding content and chapters - not so much adding gameplay elements.

Last week, my post included the following task list:

• Special Serum Scenes

• Update sprites for chapter 1 and 2 - add reactions and bounces.

• Add teacher scenes (In the interest of getting this update out I didn't finish the history teacher and I did not add Naomi's teaching scenes.) I also want to do at least 1 more Kaz, Sumi, Jiro scenes.

• Halloween scene

• Mrs. Jiro side story

• Compress game file size - 5gb is a lot. The game relies on 4k png files and with all the FMG stuff going on, there's a ton of images. ✅

The last item on the list is already completed! With the 1080p version of the game launching and functioning well.

I still want to make the 4k (native) version available since some users play on big displays and benefit from the higher resolution. Plus I work on the 4k version so that's why I refer to it as the native version.

So to get the 4k version out to you, I need to host it privately. For now it's in the Game Releases channel on the discord - visible if you are a supporter.

Going down the task list :

Special Serum: I have already started to work on some of the art. The NSFW Friday post had some Hino previews.

Update sprites for chapter 1 & 2: I am working on a few key scenes. I posted a preview of Miyu and Saya on Deviant art. The Miyu one is the header image of this post.

Teacher Scenes: Since the next side story is Mrs. Jiro I will work on more classroom/school related areas for her side story which will also be in the game at a later stage.

Halloween scene: No change.

Mrs. Jiro side story: This is my current focus. I decided to get Mrs. Jiro out before I work on chapter 5.1 with the special serum scenes. I have been planning the story and can say I finished the intro to this side story.

Those of you who played Chapter 5 already know that Mrs. Jiro is going through some tough times. She decides to make friends with other teachers on the faculty. This way I can introduce the history teacher, as well as let Jiro interact with Kaz, Sumi, Goro, Naomi etc.

I won't say more!

Mrs. Jiro will come out in February.

I can't say when exactly. I will go on a camping trip with my family for a few days. Take some time-out and a chance to step back and reflect. I love working on the game but taking a few days off will be good for the project as a whole. Touching grass, and camping... though it's all covered in snow, so uh... touch snow.

I'll come back and work on Jiro full-force from the 5th of February! Then Once Jiro is done, it's working on chapter 5.1 which includes special serum, and some updated chapter1 art.

I decided to keep the Halloween arc for chapter 6 - as it will make a for a celebratory intro - and will let met get the special serum stuff out sooner!

NSFW Friday, January week 3

I've been having nightmares of Hino. With the release of chapter 5, I spent many hours fixing bugs that you all reported. Many of them related to Hino.

Hino shows up, slaps you and sends you back to chapter 1 (shopping tutorial time-travel bug). Or she shows up in pairs (Double Hino, Double Trouble!).

Then there was a glitch that prevented you from progressing her story past 3 stars. Hino does not mess around.

Therefore this week's nsfw Friday I went a bit crazy with Hino. To commemorate the release of chapter 5 and that it hopefully is now bug-free!

I also promised in the previous NSFW I'd include more Kaori working out. So we have just that! Hope these images can tide you over.

If you are new: This is the only release you will need! All chapters and side stories are packed into this release.

New features and notes:

• Chapter 5 story continues around the end of September in-game.

• Every girl gets at least 15 new scenes.

• I updated the art style when going from chapter 4 into chapter 5. As such, some of the earlier art may look different from the new stuff.

• When asked to invite Saya or Manami to your bedroom, choosing to not invite either will give you access to new content - 'The Virgin Route' as we started calling it. This route introduces some new FMG, as well as giving you access to the rest of the girls without first dating Saya/ Manami / Yuka. (The virgin route locks you out of meeting with them though!)

• The gift system has been overhauled. With 7 vendors, and 70+ items. Going shopping does not skip time in game.

• Added Side Stories to the chapter select screen - To unlock Megumi and Lisa side stories you must play the Queen Route. To unlock Ayane you must play the Kasumi route. To unlock Mika you must level up Kasumi to 8.

• Added a 'music room' Jukebox to the main menu. As you hear songs in-game they will be added here for you to listen.

• Added a cheat panel that you can unlock by completing the new story content. This panel allows you to get unlimited cash, stats, and swap girlfriends on a whim.

  • Do note that swapping girlfriends may break stuff especially around the early game (It is a cheat after all :P) But swapping girl before going on a chapter 5 date should be safe. Every girl has unique dialogue during dates if you are dating them.

• Improved UI elements - you now have a collapsible hot bar on the right side of the screen.

  • Here you can access settings, save, load, inventory screen, cheat screen etc.

  • 'Return' and 'Hide' buttons are on the bottom left corner.

• The game is almost 5gb - and is the result of more than a thousand hours of labor and love. Please enjoy.

I am hosting 2 versions of the game now. One is 1080p and is less than 2gb in size. This helps get around the itch size limitations. Also 1080p is recommended if you play on a small display or a steam deck.

Simply connect your patreon access to download. The 1080p version does not read your saves from the previous versions so you will need to start fresh.

• The two original vendors may not restock to the new inventory - meaning you miss out on the bookstore and the variety shop.

• Chapter select screen and Side Story unlocks may not display your unlocked chapters properly. Rebooting the game should refresh your 'unlocks'.

• Miyu will disappear from your daytime choices. Start a new save to fix.

Development update:

With chapter 5 out for everyone to play I will await your feedback. I realize there may be some balancing to address.

Will Mrs. Jiro side story be released this month?

Unfortunately no. The crunch to get chapter 5 ready for release had me working long hours. My wife has been a champ in supporting me but everyone has their limits. Including me - I'd like to take a break for a few days to get my mind refreshed. That said February I'll be back at it! I'm already excited for all the stuff I want to make!

Known bug: Inventory screen will cause a crash if opened when on the vendor screen. Fix involves more tinkering so for now just avoid opening the inventory on the vendor screen.

Known issue: On old saves, Miyu may disappear from your daytime choices. Fresh save recommended.

Known continuity error: On virgin route the player never experiences phalanx growth for the first time with Manami or Saya meaning that some dialogue later will need to be rewritten for Virgin Route.

Ch5 devblog 01/12/2025

Sunday update time! Hope you've had a great year so far.

This week I've been busy tackling the remaining tasks.

Last Sunday I listed the following tasks. I will now add a ✅emoji to the tasks that are done and then later explain each point more.

Chapter select

As I am proofreading I am adding all the chapter titles and save locations so it is closely tied to the proofreading progress. I will then later do icons, but will forgo doing icons if it looks like it may delay release.

Playtest ✅

As expected, I came across many unforeseen issues.

I had to rewrite some code that checks on completion with each girl. Namely I decided to make code that checks on if you've finished all the dates with any girl, and if all dates are completed to not trigger the date screen. The player would otherwise get stuck on the date screen if all dates are completed.

I also decided to not put any 'stops' on girls dates. So for example, say you complete all of Saya's story scenes, you can still take her on dates as long as there are dates you haven't gone on.

To keep things balanced I needed to rewrite some of the girls last story scenes to allow for the open ended nature.

I had to do a lot of changes to the ep1 script to make the virgin route work. Up until chapter 4 the game essentially assumes you have a girlfriend so dialogue had to be reworked. One example is after the tennis scene, you're forced to spend a night with your girlfriend normally - which then leads into a pancake date where you meet Haruka for the first time. But if you're not dating anyone it all needs to be rewritten. Then when you meet Haruka to apply for part time work she recognizes you from that date, but since you never came before I needed to change her dialogue.

Basically a ton of "if virginroute == True:" statements to fit in alternate dialogue. There is a chance I've missed some as well. Hope I didn't.

Next I did a final check on the story scenes to make sure they were working properly. I ended up adding some stuff ;)

Proofreading

Beriya who wrote Episode Megumi has been working hard to read over everything to fix my spelling - as well as call me out on inconsistencies. Some inconsistencies require me to reword or change parts of a scene.

I have now gone over 5 girls with 4 remaining. Me and Beriya agreed I'd have to rewrite or change dialogue on some scenes. (For example I made Manami get drunk on the pub date but had previously established they can't get drunk while on the serum due to metabolism). Naughty me.

Teacher Scenes

These are important for me because they introduce some new characters and make the school feel more lively. In progress for now.

Art for virgin route ✅

 I'll leave this one in here.

Special Serum Scenes ❌

Real talk: These don't look good. I did a few with the previous art, but with the upgraded style for the whole game they really stick out. I also feel it wouldn't be fair for some girls to have the old art and some to have the new. NOTE: I will make a 5.1 style release with a much shorter turnaround than chapter 6! It will allow me time to also take feedback and fix any potential issues.

I am also going to withhold the Halloween scenes for next release as well.

Since Halloween triggers on October 31st in-game it would have been the last scene of chapter 5. But upon reviewing it now with all of chapter 5 written, I want to let it cook more. Most importantly I want to change the Halloween scenes from just being filler to being a important story scenes - since it's the first time the player invites his (outside school) girlfriend to meet with Yuka. (For example if you're dating Kaori, she'd be introduced to Yuka)

I want this scene to be a chance to get all the girls involved into the central conflict.

I hope you're not disappointed by this news. Put another way: If I were to get Halloween and special serum scenes to a point where I am happy with them, I'd have to delay the game until next month. I'd rather work on them without the pressure I'm feeling now.

It is a good thing! Because it will allow me to get chapter 5 out (maybe) in a week! 

I don't want to say exactly what day since there may be more unforeseen rewrites or bugs. But I want to try for next weekend!

Then I hope to release another update soon that includes these scenes plus more. Version 5.1!

What's important to me now is to get the current build out for all of you to play 🙏❤️

NSFW Friday, January week 2

This week is more about leaning into the game universe with familiar faces. (plus two lucina pics that turned out great). I promised before to do more FMG sequence stuff but this week I decided to go for quality images rather than consistent. I started with a Kaori gym fmg concept but decided to leave it at 2 images as I wanted to preserve time to work on the game.

The gym outfit, white shirt red shorts, is featured in the Virgin route so I decided to do more of these.

Ch5 devblog 01/05/2025

Happy new year! 2025 started and I just finished Naomi!

I gave her a new set of 'school' sprites where she wears her lab coat and isn't using the serum. These sprites will replace the ones used in previous chapters as well.

Naomi will be teaching some classes too, so we will see her around school a bit.

So is the game ready for release? Not quite yet! Yes the content is complete (for the most part) but I still have a task list to get through:

• Chapter select

  • Icons,

  • Naming,

  • Unlock triggers,

• Playtest to make sure all scenes trigger correctly,

• Proofreading,

• Teacher scenes,

• Art for Virgin Route,

  • This is the route where you do not date Saya, Manami, Yuka.

• Update art on special serum scenes

I will clarify the task list one by one.

Chapter select

The screen right now looks like this:

Meaning I need to still add the new scenes to it, setup the unlock trigger, and make a title and icon for them.

Playtesting

This is fairly self explanatory, I will run through all the scenes and make sure everything works as intended. When developing the scenes I jump into them without having to 'trigger' them properly. So this task involves me going through the game like a regular playthrough (but with the fast forward button).

Proofreading / editing

I rely on Beriya for proofreading. He is the gentleman who wrote Episode Megumi. He's doing life-saving work behind the scenes. He makes sure to check typos but also addresses any inconsistencies he comes across. Sometimes it involves me having to rewrite something or even rephrase things. Hopefully I've been consistent in my storytelling so that no major reworks need to be done.

Teacher scenes

These are the scenes that trigger with a chance to answer some question. I have some of them written, but I need to update the sprites of the girls sitting at desks. I also need to do alternative sprites depending on if Miyu is using serum or if Hino is using serum.

Art for virgin route

In this case, better show than tell. This screenshot below is what I shared in a previous devblog:

The explanation is that when I first wrote the virgin route, I was using an early iteration of the model to make the art. The current model is far more vibrant with a lot more training data, trained on the art of the girls I had from ep4. As such the new sprites you are looking at now of Saya and Manami are consistent with their new muscle sprites in chapter 5 (comparison below)

 This doesn't mean I will update all the art for episode 1, that's something I will do for a future release. But the main girls will look far better for their regular sprites.

Special Serum

For the last part of the task list, the special serum scenes. Not all of them are complete and the ones I did suffer from outdated designs. I want to make sure they look and play with the level of quality that is consistent with the rest of chapter 5.

So where does that leave us for a release date? I shared in the Super Supporter discord channel that I am aiming for mid January.

I want to honor this aim. As such I will tackle the remaining tasks in order of importance, making sure that chapter 5 is fully polished. If there are any tasks remaining I may ship a chapter '5.1' later. But hopefully I won't have to. I want this release to be it.

Please do not message me about testing the game.

I know I've been keeping everyone waiting a long time and it completely valid for a supporter to want to playtest. I appreciate it. But asking me privately is just going to take my time and energy away from working on the game. These Sunday posts are here to update everyone on the development.

Ch5 devblog 12/29/2024

Sunday is here! First off, hope you had an amazing time for Christmas! Did you see the new banner image?

 The cool thing with this banner is that I created it with correct sizes, in fact the Christmas outfits are overlayed on the original sprites, so once Christmas is done I can swap it out for everyone wearing regular clothes. (Then I could do other seasonal special outfits!)

Anyway!

Devblog time:

I spent some more time this week finishing up Manami. I did some revisions. Can't say much more without spoiling.

Moving on to Naomi! It's been a long road but my God, we are close now! After I finish up with Naomi, I've got mostly polish (bugfixes), playtesting and some work on the virgin route to complete before packaging the game. Guys! We are close! How close? I can't say but it will be next month. It will all depend on how smoothly these things go.

Hope you had a great Christmas! It's NSFW Friday time and I decided to play with some designs. I got a punk girl with spiky hair, eye shadow getting a 'white shower fmg scene'.

The next girl is what I imagine is some sort of office lady or secretary, giving the boss a good time and getting some surprise growth from the juice.

Last I got a cat girl with some wide stance fmg shenanigans.

Ch5 devblog 12/22/2024

Another Sunday and we're so close to Christmas!

This week has been huge. I am nearly done with all of Manami's scenes and I didn't pull any punches.

Manami gets 4 additional outfits in total: Bikini, Dress, Halloween outfit, and the drama club 'warrior princess' outfit.

 For Manami's dates there is a large focus on the player encouraging her to talk to strangers to help her overcome her shyness. Manami, being on the serum of course steps up to the challenge. There will be many cameos for Manami and I had a ton of fun writing her dates. It's wild how these are 'missable' scenes considering how long some of them are.

I hope you go through the effort of trying every date with every girl!

Other news: The Music Room!

One requested feature was to have a way to listen to the soundtrack. Gobbo got busy coding and helped deliver a music room! I had fun creating the custom track icons. Each girl has their own track cover.

It is accessible form the main menu, just select ' Jukebox' and you will be able to listen to any track you have heard so far.

With Manami almost done, I'll be moving on to Naomi. In terms of completion and release, there is still polishing, playtesting and making sure it all works well. I also need to work a bit more on the virgin route (The episode 1 alternate route that gives an alternate way to reach every girl in the game without having to first date Saya, Manami or Yuka).

Ch5 devblog 12/15/2024

Hope you're doing well with the busy December month!

This week I've been working on finishing Yuka's scenes and the art for all the story scenes, as well as playtesting to make sure it all hangs together well.

In addition to wrapping up Yuka's dates and story scenes, this week I worked on a number of FMG scenes. These take time to make and I don't want to spoil it so I will keep the screenshots more vague (I will keep the Yuka bikini shots for the release, though I felt compelled to share the restaurant date image in the header.)

On the Queen route we get introduced to a new character in crutches. She gets brought in as a volunteer. Her name is Ryouko and she may play a bigger role in future chapters. I guess I don't need to say much more here, it's an FMG game after all.

I also workshopped another new character:

 Shiori is a classmate of Yuka's.

The gang is surprised with Yuka acting weird so they go ask one of her classmates if they noticed anything.

Shiori is a small and intelligent girl. She reads a lot of detective novels and loves a good mystery. She is very observant and often narrates her own actions. She likes to use long words (maybe to make up for her small size?)

I had a lot of fun with Shiori. I already have plans for her in chapter 6 and beyond. I even made a unique character theme song for her.

She is the smallest girl in the game, being slightly smaller than Kaori. I will make it clear however that Shiori is 18+ just as every other character.

For this scene here I wanted a close up of Yuka and I realized that all the art is high resolution enough that I can actually make the sprites move closer to the screen without any jarring pixelation. So I made a new 'move closer' function that animates the sprite to move up in a smooth ease motion. Just a small technical thing I felt like sharing. I will add close up shots to some scenes where it makes sense.

Release:

With only about 2 weeks left of December, I honestly do not know if I can make a release in 2024. I've got Manami and Naomi to pull together to round out the roster. I believe I can finish one per week, but there is still polishing and playtesting to be done as well as proofreading.

I want to release it when I feel it's ready. Thank you for your continued patience!

Side story update:

Our winner this month is Mrs. Jiro!

We have some interesting runner ups, with second place being tied between Aria and the bouncer from Kasumi's club.

Since I want to prioritize working on the main game release, I will keep Jiro as a January project. It also makes more sense time-line wise to have Jiro's encounter with the serum happen after chapter 5.

I will stop writing now so I can continue working on the game, thank you so much for your support and encouragement always. I can't wait to get the game out!
