Happy Friday Patrons!
We're back in the land of internet and just finished uploading this new episode last night! We did a bit of experimental First Person Point of View in this one and tried to show what it's like at sea during a 24 hour period.
Ever wondered what a typical day on a two week open ocean passage is like? It varies depending on the boat, the crew and the ocean but there is definitely a couple common themes that weave their way into all of our long distance sai...

There must be something in the water?.... Or maybe it's the romance of the sea?
LOVE IS IN THE AIR ON DELOS! For those of who you saw it coming miles away like we did, it may not be a big surprise to you that Sean and Chia officially have something special between them!! A boat acts like a pressure cooker to a relationship, it truly heats things up REAL quick! As the new couple tries to play it cool, the crew has fun secretly filming their budding relationship. We also ...

This is why we love sharing adventures with you! Being able to show our patrons beautiful anchorages and adventures inspires us to keep going. Thanks for being there with us :)
After 3 busy days in Bermuda we decide to move Delos to one of the most beautiful anchorages we have seen! It seriously felt like we sailed into a swimming pool! After settling into our new hood we celebrate Ruben becoming a man (turning 20), head to some magical caves and becoming even closer as a fa...

After 7 days at Sea we sail into the beautiful waters of BERMUDA!!! We knew so very little about this place before arriving, but instantly fell in love with it’s cool history & friendly people! After being greeted by our “official Bermudian welcoming party”, we take advantage of land life with skateboarding, bridge jumping, and Dark N’ Stormy drinkin’. A mem...

Have any patrons sailed into the Bermuda triangle and had something strange happen?!
The Bermuda Triangle in infamous for its unexpected storms and unexplained effects on boats… Delos seemed to hold up fine, but her crew start to go a bit wacky in this episode!! Ruben writes some shanties, Blue tries to communicate with sea birds, Sean & Chia think they are in a rap music video and Captain Brady wonders if the world has ended after his buddy Elon Musk doesn’t answer a sat phone ...

Ahoy Delos Tribe! After the boat show madness I finally found some time to edit together the videos with answers to all the electrical boat tech questions about solar, wind, and batteries you all asked before Karin and I got off the boat. It's a playlist with 3 videos and I hope to have the final 4 videos done for next week!
Just in case the player is acting up again I'll put direct links to each video individually below so you can watch directly in YouTube.

Hey Patrons! What is the highest wind speed at sea you've experienced??
Brady definitely earns some Captain points in this episode! The furler on the Genoa gives out in the dead of the night, right in the middle of a rainy squall which is gusting up to 46 knots!! The squall damages our wind sensor and we have to sail old school through the night by looking at the flags. After getting everything back in working order, we get a little weather lesson from Sean and the crew explores what th...

Yeahhhh!! The passage is in full swing now... Happy Friday Patrons!
Squall after squall roll over Delos as we head off the coast of Florida, but despite the windless holes they leave us in- we are still able to travel 5 knots over ground thanks to the Gulf Stream!! The crew adjusts to life at sea, Ruben struggles with his seasickness, we have to act fast to drop the Gennekar from a sneaky squall, and things start to HEAT UP between Sean and Chia! Often our episodes cover a span of a few...

Bonus mid-week slow TV!
This weeks SLOW TV is truly something special for the Tribe! We hit record on the @gopros just before casting the lines to begin our ATLANTIC CROSSING! The first hour or so shows Delos slipping through the Canals of Pompano Beach, just chomping at the bit to make it to the open ocean! We managed to keep this Slow TV recording for almost 7 HOURS and capture a massive squall rolling off the coast and over Delos. We have a lot of fun making these and hope you enjoy ...

Ahoy Patrons! Well, what can I say... It's been an incredible 10 years of sailing and living aboard Delos! When I joined as a 21 year old I had absolutely no idea where my heart and gut instinct would take me. But, here I am, opening the next chapter in the Delos Story.
As Brian and Karin fly off to Sweden to have a little one, Blue and I will be sailing Delos across the North Atlantic with a whole new crew, including the DELOS SCHOLARSHIP WINNER. Change is scary and t...

I felt so emotional putting this episode together. It’s the end of a big chapter in our lives and things will be different from here. But before leaving we do our best to finish what felt like hundreds of boat projects and have a big Patron party where we inflate a 16 man life raft! It was awesome!! And then we say a sad see you later :( Now Brian and I fly to Sweden to have a baby and Alex and Brady set sail across the Atlantic!
Lots of hugs and Kisses!! Love you all ~Kazza

My dad often speaks of life in chapters. When one chapter ends, the next begins, and this video really sums up our emotions as we approach the close of 2 chapters in our adventures. Our passage sailing from the Ragged Islands in the Bahamas is the close of a 10 year chapter of Delos returning to the mainland USA. The crew is a little emotional because we also know that this will be our last time sailing together with just the 4 of us. When we return to Delos in a few m...

We find our own deserted island in the Bahamas! The Ragged Islands are a magical spot :)
Crystal clear water, white sand beaches, no internet and no other people. Spending endless days, kiting, snorkeling, foil-boarding and just soaking up the sun.
Editing this footage really made me miss this incredible spot.
Hope you like! Lots of love ~ Kazza and the crew

How much does it cost to sail around the world, and how do we pay for it? This is one of the most popular questions we get asked. As some of you might know I’m a bit of a numbers and stats nerd, and I’ve compiled our average costs over the 10 years that Delos has been sailing. Things like insurance costs, fuel usage, boat maintenance, and food budget. Plus how we’ve made money along the way to pay for it! I’m preparing a presentation about the subject for the Annapolis and South...

The midnight skies were lit up like day as Delos sails into the heart of a massive lightning storm. With lightning crashing all around us the thunder cell surrounded Delos and we were forced to take precautions to save our backup navigation and communication gear. The strikes were close enough to make our hair stand on end!
What would you do to safeguard your equipment and yourself against a lightning strike at sea?
