Our Experimental eco-friendly antifouling project begins- Sailing Vessel Delos Ep. 205

Ever wondered how to paint the bottom of a sailboat with antifouling?? After 5 weeks of back breaking work we’re on the home stretch.  We start off by sandblasting Delos’s bottom to take her back to the gel coat.  After applying 3 coats of epoxy primer it’s time to spray on our new silicon based experimental antifouling paint- SeaSpeed VX 10.  It takes about 2 gallons of paint and an airless sprayer to get the job done.  After adding a new anchor, end for ending our ...

Hello Patron Family!!

Just wanted to share some awesome drone footage I got the other day while sailing up the coast of Dominica! This was the first time flying this beauty of a sail, made for us by Precision sails! If anyone out there needs new sails, we convinced the sail loft to extend our discount to our Delos tribe! 

She performed like a champ and had Delos cruising at 6 knots in about 10 knots of wind!

Bye Bye Delos! - Sailing Vessel Delos Ep. 202

What does it take to get a sailboat like Delos ready to haul out and be stored in the yard for a few months? Join us for the last sail of the season on Delos and we’ll walk you though it! It takes quite a bit of work to do it properly but with the right knowledge and planning it’s not too bad.

HAPPY FRIDAY DELOS TRIBE! In 2015 we were releasing 2 episodes a month. The time between when we filmed and released them was over a year!  We made the decision to work our asses off and release 1 episode every week until we got "caught up"... Well, THIS TIME HAS COME!!!  Its taken 3 years but here we are, currently editing footage that we shot within the last month.  This means we have time to be WAY more creative, switch things up and try new things!!
