Happy Friday everyone! Life is grand in French Polynesia right now....but....we'd by lying if we said we weren't having just a little bit of FOMO of missing the boat show this year! We had so much fun meeting so many of you at our meetup and our circumnavigation presentation. We've gotten messages from quite a few of you that are going this year, so we hope you're having a great time and please drink a few Pain Killers in our honor!
But I digress...this week's episode ...

Ahoy Fam! We are seriously stoked to share this with you!!! We put more than a little extra love and elbow grease into this one because this experience was SO incredible (and also sketchy/intense) that we wanted to do it justice and give you a taste of what it was really like. This week's episode finds us in Fakarava which is home to one of the rarest marine events on planet earth. Once a year on the full moon towards the end of June/early August, thousands upon thousands of...

Ahoy Delos Tribe!
Señor Brady here! You may remember me from the first 258 episodes of Delos… If not you have a LOT of catching up to do haha.
Since leaving Delos in 2019 Blue and I have started Cruisers Academy sailing school, with the mission of giving real world, hands on experience to people looking to see what it’s like to live the cruising lifestyle.
Helping to build the Delos Tribe and Patreon crew over those 10 years of sailing was incredibly meaningful so...

We're just starting to scratch the surface of the Tuamotu Islands, and holyyyyyy cow you guys it is such an insane place....the drone shots in this one will transport you to an alternate dimension. But besides enjoying the truly jaw dropping views all around us, we also get busy trying to feed the family when provisions start getting a bit bleak on b...

Part 2 is HERE! Join us for the dramatic conclusion and find out who will be crowned the CHAMPION! It's funny because we kind of proposed the race as bait to get Colin to go to this atoll with us so we could have some buddies out there...but actually it turned out to be a pretty epic battle and one of the gnarliest sails we'd had in quite some time. We had some rough days on our Pacific Crossing but we also had extra crew with us then. Since someone needs to always be watchi...

Ahoy Delos Tribe! Many of you may have already watched the early release for this one last week, but we will be Premiering part 1 of our ultimate rematch with Parlay Revival! That means we will be watching and live chatting right alongside you guys, and then it will roll directly into a livestream where we can chat more, give you some updates, and answer some questions! If you missed our last post, during the livechat we get so many comments that it's hard to filter through them all, so...

Hey hey Patreon Fam! This is certainly not the first time we've explored this topic, but since this is such a big part of our lifestyle its a theme that comes up often...the delicate and alternating dance between highs and lows. Sailing has brought us the most truly memories, experiences, and friendships...it brought our family together and allows us to explore the most beautiful and remote corners of the world. But it's true that sometimes it can be damn exhausting and chal...

Ahoy Friends! We're comin at ya with our latest and greatest Polynesian adventure! We're faced with a rather unexpected rescue at sea unlike anything we've done before, and we continue to explore the incomparable Marquesas Islands. It had been well over a month since we left Mexico, and the time had absolutely flown by. We knew that this moment would come, but we couldn't believe it was already here...the time to say goodbye to one of our beloved crew members. Af...

Ahoy Friends! Can't wait to share our first proper adventures in French Polynesia with you. Fatu Hiva is truly a dream, and we were completely blown away at every turn. We're anchored in the Bay of Virgins, and one of the iconic features of this anchorage is a waterfront perfectly manicured soccer field. So of course we had to take to the grass and give our legs a proper workout after being confined to a 53 foot bubble for nearly 3 weeks. This would be just the f...

Hey hey friends! It's Friday again and we've got a suuuuuper fun episode for you today. After 19 days at sea, we FINALLY see (and smell 😂 ) LAND! It was such a crazy feeling for all of us, and honestly one of our most special moments of this entire 13 year journey. Long passages are such a rewarding experience, and that first sight of land wraps so many powerful emotions into one. A lot of it is definitely "type 2 fun" meaning it's not necessarily fun in the m...

Ahoy Tribe! Meet Stephan and Christine Reguliski, who where actually the original owners of Delos. I bought Delos from them in Bellingham in 2008. Since then they re-filled their cruising kitty, bought another Amel Super Maramu, and took off for another cruise.
Unfortunately due to a fire while in the marina in Panama their dreams have been paused and they are forced to put her up for sale. Although the exterior and engine room appear to be in good conditi...

Ahoy patreon fam! We're proud to present our last episode of our Pacific crossing series (can't believe how fast these 8 episodes have flown by!!!). For this one we thought it would be interesting to explore what it's really been like to spend so long at sea with Sierra...When we were in Mexico after hauling out in Penasco, we were trying to decide between spending another whole year there, or making the jump across the Pacific. We were both super stoked about the idea...

We're releasing another round of our autographed sail bags made with a piece from our main sail that we replaced during our last haulout in Puerto Penasco. The supplies are pretty limited on these bad boys since we only have so much sail to work with, so we're offering them up to you guys first! We did a similar bag a few years ago and they sold out super fast, so make sure and snatch y...

Happy Friday Tribe! Join us for my 5th (and Kazza's 4th) equator crossing on Delos as we induct our two lowly polliwogs Hannah and Sierra into our society of trusted shellbacks. In this video we explain the history and significance behind the time honored tradition of the line-crossing ceremony, and of course things get more than a little bit silly on board. After two weeks at sea with nothing around us but blue water, it was quite the treat to have something out of the ordi...

Ahoy friends! Welcome to part 6 of our Pacific Crossing, get ready for some wet n' wild action as we approach the equator. We arrive to the doldrums, or the Interpropical Convergence Zone. This is where the northeast and southeast trades converge, and its known for being mostly calm and windless...on my last Pacific Crossing we had to motor for a couple days straight to get through this part of the ocean, but this time we are FLYIN! It worked out great for our speed an...

Greetings on this beautiful Friday morning! This week we've got a little sumfin' sumfin' different for ya than our typical programming. We're back with another SLOW TV video from our Pacific Crossing. If you're newer around here and haven't seen one of these yet, it's exactly what it sounds like. 75 minutes of unedited, uninterrupted sights and sounds of sailing. Put this bad boy on in the background while you're at work (cheeky), while sharing a glass of wine an...

Hey hey friends! We wanted to show you a few snaps from our first stop in the stunning Tuamotu Islands 🥰. This little slice of paradise is Raroia, and for the first time since leaving the Sea of Cortez in April Delos is STILL! After 19 days at sea and super rolly anchorages in the Marquesas, then our passage here, it feels like heaven to have found a flat anchorage. There's a nice 15-20 knot breeze so it's been nice and fresh on board. The water is super clear and w...

Ahoy friends! Hope everyone is having a fabulous day. Life is pretty over here on our end, we made it to the Tuamotu Islands, and holyyyyy cow is it incredible here!!! If you picture a perfect tropical paradise in your head, this is it. Tuamotus have about 80 islands/atolls, but it spans an incredible large area, in fact its largest chain of atolls in the world, and it extends (from northwest to southeast) over an area roughly the size of Western Europe. We’re back with part 2 of our 3,000 nautical mile trip across the Pacific Ocean. This one’s got a bit of everything. We bash our way through one of the roughest nights we’ve had in YEARS. When we're going hard upwind the bow really smashes up and down. Sierra was copping the worst of it in her room up front, so for the first time in her nearly 4 years of living on Delos we had to take her into our room in the back to sleep.
But as we round Cabo San Lucas and make more miles ...

Let's GOOOOO!!!!! We are so stoked and proud to present part 1 of our Pacific crossing series.
Even after all the years and all the miles, crossing the Pacific is such a HUGE milestone. It had been years since we did a big ocean passage...Delos crossed the Atlantic without us while we were in Sweden welcoming Sierra into the world, but our last big sail was Africa to Brazil, which feels like a life time ago! We had forgotten what it felt like to spend weeks at sea, to lose s...

So if we missed anything, or you have some new questions, please let us know in the comments and we will make sure and respond to...
