November Doodles + Figure Study [2]

Continuing to have my fun with drawing rooms and placing characters in them after finishing up The Nest! And ofc a CuriousCat warm-up and a figure study to go alongside it. :)

Definitely going to move forward with cleaning up and 'finishing' the first piece to some degree! I just ran out of stamina at the end of this week since I'd expended so much on social media management and getting double vaccinated...

November Doodles + Figure Studies [1]

This week's lil warm-up doodles, this time accompanied by some of my more recent figure studies! Been really loving working on toned paper so I can work on how I establish values when I shade.

There was a recent post on Twitter where an artist talked about blocking in light & dark values as "rivers" that move and flow throughout the figure, rather than applying highlights and shadows to each part of the body individually (something I'm prone to and trying to move away from!!). I tri...

Just the one for this week! Been focusing more this week on just making sure I'm warmed up rather than going out of my way to Make It Nice™ and Postable™.
