Only one clip left! The last one has been completed in only 8 days, I'm confident I can do the next one in 10 or less. But for now, I'm going to bed... Good night, everybody! The finish line is in sight, kind of.
On the 11th, episode 10 was 60% done, now it is currently at 76% with the objective of reaching 80 tomorrow!
Then, there's only one clip left to animate and all the backgrounds to create. This small shot here is the last one of the more busy animations of the episode, I'm happy everything is close to be done, so I can move on to a more simple clip!
I hope to have the full episode animated by Mid-April and have all backgrounds done in just a week!
The new cards arrived this morning! The result is so much better than the previous decks I made. The text is slightly bigger and the outline is thicker, making it easier to read. The backgrounds are now visible and the characters look more crisp! (The last picture is from the previous deck, for comparison purposes "Worst phone quality in the world" Edition.)
______
KG illustrations are still planned but I think I want to finish episode 11 before I send more Goodie-Packs. Have a lovely weekend, everybody!
Hey hey! Some goods arrived today and now I have all the goodies I'd like to send to folks for now but there are two news:
The Bad One: Despite taking it in consideration while making the cards, the offset printing made the cards even darker than I thought they were gonna be. The backgrounds, the back of the cards and especially the flavour text are barely visible. (Doesn't help that my phone's camera is utter shite.) Everything is more clear in photos but they are indeed darker. Also, I have 2 decks printed so that's double the failure!
The Good One: I can start sending stuff now, I hope they will reach their destination, though. I'll be doing a test first. Unfortunately, I don't feel too good about sending the bad version of those cards, so we'll have to wait until the good ones arrive, in maybe a month or something...
_________
I will post an update, once everything is a success, just so you know when to notify me to recieve yours, so please be on the look out for more Goodie-Pack news in April!
The amount of goodies in a pack will change based on the amount of caramel given over the years, just so you have a reaward for each threshold. 400 being the max for now but you can expect actual KG illustrations in the future. I'm figuring it out. Ok, bye-bye!
I'm just waiting for another thing to arrive and then I'll do my best to send those to folks who support/ed me here on Patreon!
It isn't much but if I can successfully send those (and if it doesn't end up being waaaay to expensive), I could make more goodies to send in the future! Adeleine is the only shiny sticker here.
Here it is! "Wild Fight" is completed. One of the 2 main musics that should be used in episode 10. I will make the other one quickly tonight and then, all I need to do music-wise is some melodies that will play throughout the episode.
Nothing major, just some notes so some scenes feel less empty. Then, it's back to the animation. I have 2 clips that need some animated parts done that I wanna complete next week. After that, it's only 2 clips left out of 6!
A very early concept of a music planned for episode 10. Treat it like a collage of ideas.
Some instruments will be changed, some leitmotifs may end up unused, who knows. I had a melody come to mind while taking a shower today and made sure to record myself before I forgot it. I thought it was be perfect to had to this music.
As always, the shower is where I get 90% of my ideas, for some reason.
Just a buncha Moons. She's come a long way since I've made her. I think I still have her very first appearance somewhere, from 2009, but since we're in 2024 now, here's a comparison with her 2014 self!
She went from blue and red to different shades of purple. I also like the shorter hair, it makes it easier to move around while fighting. Also, the crown had to go, sorry! But hey, now she's bulky!
Tomorrow, I'm coloring those cards. These are creations I would like to turn into various items, mostly stickers for now, and send to patrons. I had this idea of making cards for about two weeks and now these are almost completed!
The plan is to have tarot-sized cards. I may still tweak everything a bit over the weekend but this is the basic idea.
It's the 15th, which means it's the fouth Guardian Day. It's already been four years since this series started and I can't thank you enough for sticking with it. I hope you enjoy what I have in store, there's so much left I want to share about this series!
Tomorr-Today is the 30th birthday of a Twitch buddy of mine! I wanted to make them a little animation. I don't know how nor why I ended up with a parody of SS William but I guess it's not too weird of a mix since I've drawn them in the same cartoony style before!
It has been a little while since the latest update but it's mostly because there isn't much interesting progress to show. The episode is 47% completed. The current goal is to have 3 clips out of 6 completed by the 21st.
Clip 4 will be a shorter one but there will be a lot of action going on. Clip 6 will be short and sweet. Hopefully these two can be done in a month (Late March) so I can spend April working on Clip 5 and maybe every background. Cya next update, when the first three clips are done!
...So I don't have anything to show but episode 10 is 39% completed. This month's goal was to reach 30% originally but I'm confident I can reach 45% by February. Almost halfway there!
I believe the beginning of February is going to be even more quiet but I hope I can make up for it with some artwork. Speaking of which, here's a little thing for you: A real Fax!
Here's a timelapse video I recorded earlier today. The recording session was split in half, since I was supposed to make 2 pizzas tonight for my mother and I. (I did so while listening to the Pizza Tower OST, which expains why I've used it for this very video) The second part of the session was just the making of LostOne and all the colours. Which I did while drunk af on vodka, as one usually does.
I've also made this Baby Metroid drawing in blender a while back for a secret project but I thought I'd share it here too. I've recorded myself working on it as well!
And last but not least, the background used for the latest comic. While everything was 2D in it, I did want to model the very last bacground to get used to drapes and curtains. I've recorded myself using a techninque I've seen on YouTube. The logo is simply the one I drew for episode 8. I've then applied that image texture to a plane that had a Cloth modifier. I then painted over the whole thing to give it my personal 2D touch!
A recent addition to sacred Beanbon cave of legends, hidden in the soil of Green Grounds. What even is happening here?...
Also, Ribbon again, there she is! Adeleine is here too, as well as Ribbon's past self, for a height comparison. I hope to introduce her soon to the series but until then, Adeleine has a bone to pick with someone or something!
...And she's not pulling any punches! Only Gigaton punches here.
Poor little Adeleine cannot catch a break, everything seems to go wrong for her! Luckily, she stays optimistic at all times!
However, she's still a sensitive kid and King doesn't help much...
A little teaser, this isn't the full comic. I had the idea this morning so I decided to go for it and work on episode 10 tomorrow. I would like to at least have all the characters tonight, I'll focus on the backgrounds tomorrow!
Here's a bit of animation I've finished today, this took some time to make but the result is worth it!
After adding the colours, I wanted to see how the scene looked in this rendered mode and the file's world settings that I modified when starting working on the episode give white glow an orange/red tint and it just looks so cool and terrifying at the same time!
Tomorrow, I'm going to animate her punching, that should be fun! I love this powerhouse.
A character that I would like to introduce in episode 11. A couple more characters will appear in the series. Some for one episode, others are planned to have more screen time. Here's how I would like Ribbon to look in the series. I like this design, so far. It may change a bit by the time I work on episode 11.
With the final version of episode 9 is all done and ready to be uploaded, episode 10 is the only thing that will keep all my attention. With the last week off and the upcoming one for Xmas break, I plan on reaching at least 35% completion by the end of December. Here are some of the lineart for Adeleine, fighting in a dusty area.
Starting February, things should go much faster than they've been since 2021. I'm looking forward to it!
And here they are! Back when episode 2 was new, someone asked about music in the series and I told them that, at the time, I wanted to eventually make my own OST for the series. It took until episode 5 for me to feel confident enough to do it. The goal was for Adeleine to have a theme that The Company would borrow leitmotifs from.
Fast forward to almost 4 years later and there we have it! I'm working on a Medley video to upload maybe before episode 9, maybe one month after. Whatever happens, you all can enjoy them now and maybe play a little game of "Whose theme is this?".
I reworked "Snow Cone Neighbourhood" a bit. I'm happy with the result here and it will be the version used in the final version of Episode 9!
Feel free to also check out "One-Trick Pony", GlumOne's own tune. CautiousOne, BitterOne, CutesyOne, OldOne, BleakOne and LostOne still need their own song. Once all of them have their themes ready, I'll upload a Company Medley OST video.
The last one was made in Flash 8 and to "celebrate" the jump to Blender, this one was made with my new software of choice. Some subtle brush strokes were added in Clip Studio Paint and extra effects were added with PhotoMosh-Pro but 97% of the picture is all Blender.
I've also made my own font last month! The first variant was used in the Spoooky Adeleine set of illustrations. I've modified it since and keep on tweaking letters here and there. I decided to use it for a logo. I've never really stopped and thought of having a good logo for my series until recently. I've had many versions in the past but they were put together in the last minute only to never be used again.
I wanted to see how Adeleine would look with shorter hair. It didn't look like what I was excpecting so I tried to have them just a bit shorter. It is barely noticeable but different enough for me to like this haircut. It isn't going to be permanent, she just likes having her hair shorter sometimes. I plan on finishing it tonight!

Episode 10 will be an action-packed episode! After all this time, Adeleine finally gets to show off her skills and strength! Originally a frail child, she stated she wanted to show King just how tough she could be. Despite what she says, she wanted to be stronger so he wouldn't have to worry about her all the time. It took many years and many training sessions, alone or with her guardian, for her to reach her goal!...
The thing is, she's developed a passion for exercising and kept getting even beefier, over the years. Nowadays, she has found the perfect balance between her usual soft demeanour and her frightening temper, making her this powerhouse of a gal. Not even trees can stand in the way of the Green Goliath now!
I am finished with a smaller project, which means I can start working on KG 10 now! But before doing so, it has been too long since the last illustration, so here is "Dark Season" and a bunch of Bender heads, featuring Flexo. I've even added a 4K video of this trophy so you can see it in its full glory.
In "Dark Season", Adeleine and The Company are enjoying the cold air after such a hot summer. While the sun rays still manage to find their way through the clouds, it looks like a storm is on the way. Since her late teenage years, the green painter has had a soft spot for the dark season and the stormy weather it brings. However, The Company have terrible memories associated with storms... Thankfully, Adeleine is there to remind them that everything is ok.
Based on a true story. Snow is a rare sight on Green Grounds, mainly due to its location on planet Popstar. It is usually a warm place but The Company have the chance to witness it every three years! This time, they decided to create two villages: "Passion Village" and "Creation Village". Most villagers live in harmony but a duo of shopkeepers will stumble upon a certain item that will bring discord to the two villages.
Thank you, everyone, for supporting me while I was working on this episode! I'm having a lot of fun with this series and seeing it evolve over time is a treat. But knowing that you also enjoy it means a ton to me! I am currently working on a commission but rest assured that episode 10 is fully planned! It's going to be action heavy, but I'll try to keep it simple still!
This exact scenario happened to my friends and I back in primary school. Just replace snow with sand. We had a large sand area that would open up everyday during lunch time. We had different villages that would sell sand balls for pebbles. One day, one group found a huge rock that was far away from us all and decided to keep it for them. Then everyday after eating, there was a race to steal that rock and keep it in our respective villages. It ended up in a big fight until a school supervisor threw that rock away and told us that she would close the sand area for the rest of the year if it was to be moved again. It worked.
There it is! I didn't get a chance to work on music today, the sickness got me messed up, but I did finish the thumbnail earlier. I'll tackle the music on tomorrow and hopefully some backgrounds too. The last 7!
It's gonna be a long day tomorrow, so I'm going to be early! While I'm asleep, here's an extra Adeleine, watching over you! Take care!
