A New Year and a Pleasant Dream

Hey all! Hope that you have all had a great time over the holidays. I've spent the period looking more into 3D and what I can do with it, both with animation and with comics. 

The animation above is an attempt at manipulating fabric and took a bit of doing... I'm still leanring but hope you enjoy it. When I get to a point where I feel I can comfotably add it to my arsenal I'll look into rebooting the Grove Patreon.

 For this one I decided to have a bit of fun and recreated an image I originally did 11 years ago. You can find the original plus a bunch of different renders attached.

Shower Advice

Another attempt with 3D. This was the first attempt using a proper 3d scene. It was difficult... but I learnt a heck of a lot re: lighting. You can find a bunch of alternative renders attached :)

Getting Started (again)

A second attempt with 3D, this time done as a still so I could work on it in photoshop a bit afterwards. Still experimenting, but I'm liking the results so far.

Would you guys be interested in more 3D stuff, or are you keen for more drawn / morphed stuff?

Hi everyone, you've may have noticed that I haven't been around a huge amount in July. In part it was because as noted in the previous post I was madly trying to work on an ambitious animation, but there were also other factors (basically a death in the family).

As such I've been thinking a bit about my work/life balance. As you can probably guess, I do this as an addition to my full time job and a very wise Patron said to me a while back to make sure I don't over extend and burn out.
