I was asked once if Ultima was short for "Ultimate". The answer is no, it's just plain ole "Ultima" and that's it. Like a lot of the Growth Lab characters her name was the result of a bit of workshopping and some inspiration. If you are an OG of the comics you can go back and see a bunch of early versions of her across older books. One time, WAY way back she was called "Mana". haha! After a long time and a lot of tweaks we have Ultima as she is now.

Hey, I know I have highlighted his work before and linked it in my last post. I want to add he is someone I think many of you Vivian and She Hulk fans would enjoy. He's done SEVERAL amazing comics with Vivian and SheHulk and has more on the way. Totally worth a peek if you are interested in those two. Hey, not every page is a full blown transformation scene. Sometimes we get to meet some of the periphery in the cast too!
