SPRING 2023 PORTAL HUB - BACK IN BUSINESS

Oodalally, Oodalally, Golly what a fucking day! After reinstalling VRChat and a new version of Unity, I finally got this puppy working. 

Of course, since it's a newer version of Unity, I gotta re-import and re-do the worlds I had done and ready to go, but that shouldn't be tooo much of a hassle. Got 2 transferred over to the new Unity version today, so that's 2 new worlds up in the hub. FINALLY! More on the way this month!

Aha! FINALLY figured out what it was. VRChat implemented some new system of "locked" and "unlocked" links. Simply needed to be "unlocked." Jeez man.

Sorry for the long absence. Life has been in the way lately.

But for the past couple weeks, I've been making some new worlds, yet several aspects of VRChat seems to be broken since their last update.

When I upload  new worlds to the server, they never appear in my worlds list. They're just... not there.. At first I thought it might have been a mere delay between upload and appearance, but two worlds I uploaded 2 weeks ago are STILL not in my private worlds list.

Got a good request from a patron recently to upload my old image-sets as VRChat worlds. So that's what I did. They look really nice in stereoscopic 3D-360 in vrc, with easy trigger-scrolling. Maybe even easier than most VR-image viewing apps! Plus it's cool to scroll through 3D-VR images while in an avatar, instead of just being disembodied as in regular vr-image viewing apps.

A couple awesome avatars were recently gifted to me by a patron and I created this world using one of them in a bunch of animated poses. The new world is up in the portal hub. There's actually 2 portals, because there's two versions of the world. One version is the Futanari version.

- this link may work!!! thanks to Goluxas for figuring it out with some tinkering with the url! His method involves taking the link, and then remove all arguments except id and shortName. (ie. remove the ref, ~hidden, ~region and ~nonce sections.)

Portal Hub - August 2022

Hey, I've just learned that the launch links I've been using don't seem to be working anymore. It's peculiar.. But no worries.

To access the portal hub, here's what you do.

Go to VRChat in your Steam library. Right click - Properties 

In the Launch Options box, paste this:

So I switched to a VR image-slideshow version of "Honey". The janky mocap animation style, and the lack of facial expressions with the facial mocap, was leaving me a bit unsatisfied. Plus, the fact it's not VR.. I mean, this is Virtual GTS, right? Where's the beef?!?

So I went back to create it as a proper story-slideshow in Virtual Reality. I think this version is much more engaging, and shows off more of the characters and setting than the animated version...
