Slaying four sleeping goblins was much easier than Kaen had realized. The art of killing someone or something in their sleep had never been a skill he had practiced, yet now he knew exactly where to plunge his dagger while holding his hand over their mouth. No sound beyond the squishing noise.

While exploring for about two miles, Kaen learned a few things about the cave. Part of it was natural, and the goblins, orcs, or something else had mined the other part. Drag marks of rocks and wheels were on the rocky floor. It wasn’t smooth, but it had been smoothed out from the amount of traffic it had seen. There were actual grooves in some spots.

A massive ice spear slammed into the side of the boss and sent it flying to the side.

Breakfast was much better than expected, and the small dessert that Big D had given him to go with the eggs, meat, and bread was the icing on the cake. It was an actual cake with icing. Having never been to one of the larger cities, Max was not prepared for the size of it at all.
