** August Update**

Hey Gearheads!

I'll keep this one to 3 main updates. Lots of significant changes since last month. First things are getting better with Davinci Resolve. The learning curve is a bitch, but I'm chipping away at it and I've figured out better output settings, so the 4k releases are back down to the more manageable file size. Still on the list is metadata, effects, color grading/correcting and then finally automation.

June has been both challenging and productive. I'm still getting my footing in Davinci Resolve. I've gotten a basic workflow fairly nailed down, but I still need to bring back in some of the missing things from my Premiere workflow. May was pretty wild. We got quite a few new "headgear" announcements, which I've been paying close attention to. The Android XR stuff seems pretty interesting. The VR space has been a lot more ow key, but it sounds like Bigscreen is killin' it with v2 of their tiny headset.
