Previews
Hi pals!
Simple question in poll. Should I show the art previews in coming? (even if this could be a rough sketch)
Or Do I keep them until I complete the color & finishing part?

Harpy
In Greek mythology and Roman mythology, a harpy (Ancient Greek: ἅρπυια harpyia, pronounced [hárpyi̯a]) is a half-human and half-bird personification of storm winds. They feature in Homeric poems
They were generally depicted as birds with the heads of maidens, faces pale with hunger and long claws on their hands. Roman and Byzantine writers detailed their ugliness. Pottery art depicting the harpies featured beautiful women with wings. Ovid described them as human-vultures.
The harpy also appears in fantasy stories, videogames, literature, heraldry among other cultures.

I've been patient, I've been good
Tried to keep my hands on the table
It's gettin' hard this holdin' back
You know what I mean
I'm sure you'll understand my point of view
We know each other mentally
You gotta know that you're bringing out the ANIMAL in me!
Let's get physical
I wanna get physical
Let's get into physical
Let me hear your body talk, your body talk
Let me hear your body talk
- Olivia Newton John –
This design was another alternative poster for last CONFUROR event but it was canceled due the events of the COVID-19. The Con theme was Lucha Libre!, You know it´s wrestling Mexican style.

Mermaid free design
Thinking about mermaids make me think about other possibilities in aquatic designs. For example, what about a bee pattern or insects elements? Yeah those are from other environments but think about a free design and different ways to create different creatures.
Sometimes you can impress yourself in those ideas when you draw them.

In tales, a mermaid is an aquatic creature with the head and upper body of a female human and the tail of a fish. Mermaids appear in the folklore of many cultures worldwide.
Influenced by the Sirens of Greek mythology, which were originally half-birdlike, those came to be pictured as half-fishlike in the Christian era. Historical accounts of mermaids, such as those reported by Christopher Columbus during his exploration of the Caribbean, may have been sightings of manatees or similar aquatic mammals. While there is no evidence that mermaids exist outside folklore, reports of mermaid sightings continue to the present day.

I have a collection about fantastic creatures, inspired by myths & religions. My intention is also making a drawing book about those too. So why don´t share with you?
And if you have ideas to increase this collection, please share with me too!

I know you want to, but you can't say yes. Let's go outside,
In the moonshine, Take me to the places that I love best,
So my angel she says "don't you worry", about the things they're saying…

2021-07-08 04:41:26 +0000 UTC View PostIn the last weeks maybe you noticed there was not so much new art, and I owe you an apology.
As all people have, there´s good, funny & rare moments enjoying our life. One of those taking my time was my son´s accident, broking his arm in a playground. It´s not really a bad time (well, after some days I can take it in a better mode), it´s just life moments and that´s all.
But I was in depressed mode of because the "Father´s Day".
Anyway, he´s better and so I am, in fact he never loses his smile and I continue from the point I left days ago.
Thanks and the show must continue!

MEDUSA
In Greek mythology, Medusa was one of the three sisters monstrous Gorgons (Medusa, Stheno & Euryale), generally described as winged human females with living venomous snakes in place of hair. Those who gazed into her eyes would turn to stone.
Medusa was beheaded by the Greek hero Perseus, who thereafter used her head, which retained its ability to turn onlookers to stone, as a weapon until he gave it to the goddess Athena to place on her shield. In classical antiquity the image of the head of Medusa appeared in the evil-averting device known as the Gorgoneion.
Her name in Ancient Greek: “Μέδουσα” means guardian & protectress.

Originally, this design was made for CONFUROR 2020 event but it was canceled due the events of the COVID-19. Such a pity, the Con theme was Lucha Libre!, You know it´s wrestling Mexican style.
I though some pin-ups. it´s always welcome to draw my girls, but this time I pretend to do a male wrestler, maybe remembering those old movies I watched when I was a kid, showing a silver warrior fighting monsters. Why not, then?
Maybe Angie is a huge fan of him!
Do you want to see him again?
So a B-movie Poster design was ready. And also a printed gift if someone bought our Lucha Libre collab Artbook!
Cheers!
