Hey everyone! Lately the scribbling has been quite scarce as I work on both Weekend With Yuka and Red Muscle ch8. I've been collecting a handful of doodles as I get back into RM and a lot of it has been design work to figure out some looks to draw some pages! I'll try to talk about them in order:

I've got another old sketchbook for you all! This one was from March 2017 to October 2017. I used to tear through these things so fast! I take at least a year to fill up a book nowadays but I think that's because I've been so locked into my comic making that drawing in my sketchbook just gets pushed to the side. Short Break, Be Back Soon!

Comic Analysis 2 - The Caterer at the Maiko Manor

I am currently obsessed with The Caterer at the Maiko Manor by Koyama Aiko and as I read more, I find myself looking deeply at its pages to get some insight into improving my comics that a lot of other work doesn't do for me.

Space Girl Design Exploration

I've been revisiting this design since I thought about including her in my smash game concept and I have a handful of drawings I can share from over the years. Weekend With Yuka Preview PDF

just for the patrons, here's the preview of my newest comic, Weekend With Yuka! it's a roughly 20 page prologue to a longer graphic novel that I'll be working on well into next year, but I made this to get people interested in where these characters have been and what they're going to be up to!

Fighting Game Roster Lineup

I've been messing for a while with the idea of building my own smash style fighting game and I've been trying to develop a roster to go into the game. Scarlet and Ula are there along with some of my other characters like my tiny magic bubble throwing witch Rasbi, my unnamed ninja girl that I've been tweaking the design of for a while, and some others. It's very fun to see them all lined up next to each other!

SFA Chun Li

wanted to practice a lineless style to see if it was a viable option for my soul calibur draws. this was fun and i like how it looks but i'm still looking for the right approach. anyways, I've been playing a lot of old 2d fighters and I think I like chun li's alpha costume more than her original, but that's just me!! everything about it is just more fun. I would love to see the 3rd strike chun proportions in the alpha costume, that's gonna have to be how I draw her as I get better at drawing ...

Soul Calibur ladies (sketches)

I wanted to draw the SC ladies for a while now! I ended up using a slightly different style on these, I went for cuter proportions to balance how trashy a lot of these designs are. haha

I find that there's always a cuteness potential in a lot of the series with sexualized ladies, sometimes all it takes is to get more stylized and away from realism.

wanted to draw Yuka in a bunny suit (and a super trashy reverse bunny), I think she looks really good in a tradition bunny suit and I plan on putting that in the comic lol

Explorer character development sketches

Ive been obsessed on and off with Lara Croft and the original Tomb Raider games as a concept and decided I wanted to try doing my own spin on a character inspired by her. Dragon Quest Job stickers
