This week I‘ve been traveling Singapore and there are quite a few tabletop & other nerdy locations to check out.

I started visiting the official Warhammer store, it‘s in a shopping street but quite hidden beneath a public staircase. It‘s rather small, and the shop owner wasn‘t very approachable, so I just asked for the free miniature of the month and left. Will paint the Hearthkyn Warrior for a tutorial when I‘m back home 🙂

This week on Tale of Painters

So this week is in a flux as I‘m currently travelling. For yesterday I prepared a showcase post of the Autarch I painted a while ago. For Thursday, we might have another post by Tom (not sure yet), and for the weekend either a tutorial or a review of Redgrass Games‘ Everlasting Wet Palette 2.

Next week I‘ll be back to business as usual, and I‘m excited to finish & share my new Aspect Warrior exclusive tutorial for painting Heresy Emperor‘s Children 😊

Contemptor Dreadnought assembly

So the next model on my to do list is this Contemptor Dreadnought for my Sons of Horus. The possibility of this model is amazing, and I even made the effort magnetizing his arms. It took a while filling all the gaps, but now he is ready to get a coat of paint :)

Emperor's Children Legionary WIP

Hey guys, the last couple of days I was working on this Emperor's Children model, which will become this month's Aspect Warrior tier tutorial! Really enjoyed working on this one, it uses the same approach as my Sons of Horus, and I guess I'll paint an allied contingent of Emperor's Children for my collectin. I love their depiction in the Black Library novels, and I really like the shade of purple I came up with. Hope you like him :)

Garfy shared his Neave Blacktalon model yesterday, and tomorrow I'll post a few more pics of my Gallowdark terrain from Kill Team: Into the Dark.

For Saturday, we have a review planned, I can't say what it is yet, but you might have a hunch if you follow Games Workshop's release schedule ;)

The next few weeks will also see a few posts regarding Leagues of Votann, so stay tuned :)

More Gallowdark terrain

Here is the first batch of the Kill Team: Into the Dark terrain I painted, I think it's about 20% of the stuff you get in the box. Not enough for gaming, but enough to use it as a background for some cool shots :)

Tutorial will drop tomorrow. Next on my painting table will be more Heresy :)

Yesterday I posted my Sons of Horus tutorial video on the blog, and in fact, this will be a tutorial heavy week on the blog. For the weekend, there'll be a tutorial for painting the Space Hulk terrain pieces from Kill Team: Into the Dark in a heavily weathered scheme. And to shorten the time until then, we'll have a few Chaos Daemons tomorrow.

I'm also working on a follow-up to my popular Green Stuff World Dipping Ink tutorial, as I hot my hands on the remaining 18 colours I didn't have...

Gallowdark terrain painting

I've been pretty quiet last week, so what was I painting? Well, I painted a few of the new Gallowdark Space Hulk pieces from Kill Team: Into the Dark I wasn't allowed to share yet. I chose a light paint scheme with lots of rust and weathering, was quite fun to experiment with pigments and oil washes. Painting these was pretty fast as well. Hope you like them.

A tutorial for these will be up on the blog on Saturday, and tomorrow as an early access downloadable PDF tutorial for Aspect War...

This week on Tale of Painters

Another packed week. Yesterday we had a a fantastic Vampire Lord diorama by our new poster Tom, go checkt it out. On Thursday, Garfy will post his Chaos Legionaries from Warcry, and for the weekend, we have a massive two-part review for a massive box. This will be followed up by a  cool painting tutorial the week after, can't talk about it yet, but it will be a lot of fun, so stay tuned :)

Hey guys, I just finished editing my next video. It's my first video tutorial, a video version of my popular Sons of Horus tutorial. You can see it here first, don't know yet when I'll post it on the blog, maybe on Friday.

Let me know what you think and how I could improve for the next tutorial video. I know I need to improve the image quality and sharpness of the painting footage, so I'm going to save my Patreon money for a better camera for tutorials!

Raven Guard Phobos Kill Team complete

Hey guys, I just finished my Raven Guard Phobos Strike Team for Kill Team and took this nice group shot. It'll probably be a few weeks until I can find a spot on them on Tale of Painters, so I thought you'd enjoy a little sneak peek :)

By the way, I took photos while painting them, so they'll probably end up as a Patreon exclusive tutorial, probably for the beginning of October!

Garfy shared his Lord Imperatant on Tuesday, and he has quite a backlog of models he hasn't posted yet, so for Friday he has another model to share we don't want to spoil yet :)

Final Raven Guard batch

This week I was working on the final two models for my Raven Guard Phobos Kill Team. I'm making good progress, and I record the right model for a future tutorial, probably going to become an Aspect Warrior tier exclusive at some point. Can't wait to get these finished and paint more Heresy!

So we have some fantastic content lined up for you as Garfy is relentlessly sharing his completely painted Warcry Heart of Ghur set. We had the Rotmire Creed yesterday, including a list of of paint recipes. Tomorrow I'll share a few more pictures of my Sons of Horus Kratos tank, and for the weekend we have a top secret product review, as well as a showcase post for all the Heart of Ghur terrain.

Batch painting Raven Guard

So, what have you've been up to painting-wise? Last week and the week before I didn't found that much time painting, the Warcry and Green Stuff World Dipping Inks reviews have been quite time-consuming, BUT I made some progress on the second batch of Raven Guard for my Phobos Kill Team. Really like the look of those with their white details and all, can't wait to see them finished. Will take a while to finish the whole Kill Team though, Primaris models are so tall and full of details...

How to paint grimdark Imperial Fists (masterclass tutorial)

Here comes this month's Aspect Warrior tier freebie: a 10-page PDF guide for painting "grimdark" and weathered Imperial Fists. I really love the faded shade of yellow and the painting took only 45 minutes! I also added a few suggestions for achieving a similar result without an airbrush.
