It feels weird with March finally being here, lol. It's felt like an eternity since last summer. With spring just around the corner and I can already feel my mood boosted up 10 points. X3
If you're wondering where the foam finger came from during the sketch phase, it's because I was tired and accidentally read a detail from another outfit and thought it was meant to be part of this one, lol.

I decided to do an extra suggestion box thing for the heck of it. :3 Rob had suggested it a handful of times before now. And yes, while he had suggested it for the thank you image, I thought it would work better as a standalone thing with a little color slapped on it. :3

One thing I'm not happy with in my art is that I don't have enough facial variety in the characters I draw. I made an effort in this one to find some appealing new shapes, especially for this kind of species!

This commission is 6,427 pixels across! I think this is my second largest commission ever. It's only second to this one, which was 8,000 pixels across. As far as my cartoony style goes, this is definitely the largest so far!

This page taps a bit on what Nes's "inner motor" as a character has been. It's not just about making his Dad proud, but also about making himself feel safe with his Dad not being there. If he couldn't be, then subconsciously he tried to shape himself into his Dad to get that feeling of safety. Unfortunately, that was an unrealistic standard to meet, which lead him in the direction of perfectionism.

The first and second images are the alternates! I originally drew him with longer legs because I thought the commissioner wanted more humanoid proportions - but I was wrong! They wanted more Zootopia-style ones, so I fixed it. :3

Alternate #1: The original frontal pose was going to be with his arms out wide, but I changed it in the end. You can see a hint of where I was going in the first picture.
Alternate #2: The clothed pose was originally going to be from the front, with both hands in his pocket. I changed it in the end because I felt it made the pose too symmetrical and basic, so I tilted his head up and away instead.
Alternate #3: Same thing, but with one hand behind his head! Again, just to add some...
