The reason for the two different sketches is because I originally interpreted the idea wrong, and had to redo it, but the commissioner liked it enough that he paid for the extra sticker, making it a set of three.

For WIP posts I might put the final image in the post now to show how it looks completed.

I'm not sure which Tier tutorials should be for, but Tier IV and V seems right.
Here's a super quick tutorial I doodled up for someone that I figured I'd share here. This is how I usually construct a muzzle when a character's mouth is open. :3 Hopefully it's self-explanatory!

I've included a version without glasses!

This is going to be printed on shirts/hats for his car club, so that's why transparent versions exist. :3
UPDATE: I forgot to include the transparent version - oops! It's been added now.

You might notice the flat color version has a different bottle design. There's two reasons for that:
1. The orange one in the fourth image was actually how it looked at first, but we changed it to be blue and white to reflect the commissioner's country - Greece! I added some flair to it to resemble the country's flag.
2. I forgot to save out the flat color version until we made the change, lol.
I think this is my first time drawing a horse! At least, ignoring the Pesasus-Wol...

Here's something that I currently have in progress. I should hopefully have it done around Saturday. :3

I'm pretty proud of this one. I intentionally colored it to look like a frame from Little Runt, such as the colored spotlights, the camera flashes, and even going back to get the exact correct shade of blood!

The second sketch gave him some more bulk, the second mask image shows adjustments I did to Styker's face to make it look less flat! The final image in the set shows him without some of his fur pattern, cause I forgot, lol. Fortunately we caught it at the last minute. x3

Here's the full-res sketch from April's Patreon thank you image. :3

NOTE: This thank you image is for April! I'll be doing the one for May month in 2-3 weeks! So if you signed up in May, don't worry! You'll appear in that one. :3
The winner for this month's thank you image suggestion was Tem after getting smooched, suggested by Jonathan McDevitt. The idea won with ten votes - almost double second-place! As for Tem's reaction... he's... surprised to say the least. :D

As you can see in the sketch, I originally had a more flat perspective, but I thought it looked kind of boring and something with more perspective would be more dramatic and fit the scene better. I wanted there to be tension! So, perspective lesson:
Flat composition = comedy
Composition with depth = drama
Why is this a case? It probably relates to old cartoons! Flat compositions are often used in cartoons because the backgrounds are easier to make, cycle, and recycle. Rememb...

This was such a fun unique character to draw!

The first sketch shows an alternate (scorpion-style) tail! The last drawing shows a version without the ear fluff (this was added at the end). Also inks, mask, and a few coloring progress shots before shading was added.

We darkened the blue coloring a bit in the end! And he went with the additions I offered. :3

Sketch, mask, original coloring (based on the commissioner's specifications), and then a version with my suggested additions to round out the design a little better!

I'm going to make this post available for all patrons - enjoy! :3
This post shows how the group shot gradually came together. The black silhouettes you see are early previews I did occasionally to figure out how characters might match with each other before a character was finished coloring. I'd just fill the sketch with black and add them in.
And with that, this series of Valorant commissions is complete! Coincidentally, the game came out today, hahah! 2020-06-03 00:00:03 +0000 UTC View Post
I'm pretty proud of the pose for this one!
2020-06-02 23:00:02 +0000 UTC View Post
And here's the final one of the set! This one was fun to color with all the colorful little patterns I had to loosely replicate. :3
The alternate versions for this are just the versions without clothes (did it that way to make sure I got the pose right before adding the detail), and an abandoned initial sketch where I had them leaning more forward. Rejected that because they were a bit too low to the ground and it was going to look uncomfortable. :P

I like how the sense of wind came out in this. Genuinely feels like a breeze is going by. x3

The first version of this sketch had him wielding a bow! But I changed it to a sniper rifle because:
1. The reference I had for the bow was very zoomed in and kind of garbage. Since Valorant is a new game, there isn't many good images around for stuff.
2. His bow is MASSIVE and in order to put him into the group shot, I would have needed to put him at an edge... which was already being given to Evan with his magic ability, and Eskay with his smoke. This would have resulted in some...

This was one of my favorites from the collection!

The alternate version of this one is... the horns! I originally gave him devil-style horns, but Mnty decided he wanted traditional caribou horns instead. In the end, I'm glad he asked for that change! Giving him a broken caribou horn, and sharping the other one into a claw, worked out really well and fit the character much better!

I really love how the sketch turned out on this one. So menacing. :3
The reason for the extra colored version is just to show a version with more orange fur. It came out that way due to the coloring style I used for this, with adding a lighting layer, set to Overlay, to brighten and saturate the colors in the brighter areas. However, it came out too bright there, so I had to tone it down later. :P
