Sorry for the delay! The last few days have been a bit dramatic as you must know. I've been paying attention to that, which made me fall behind on some other tasks as well and... yeah, I'm playing catch-up now. ^^;

Here's the thumbnail WIP for this page! Not much changed, although I changed Irwin's pose a bit and made him bigger in the frame.

The dance effect is 3 frames left-up, 6 frames left-down, 3 frames right-up, and 6 frames right-down. That little extra bit of rest helps add a little bit of anticipation and weight so it doesn't completely feel like Tem is flipping back and forth erratically. :p

Here's my first animated emote for my Twitch channel! There's a game coming up that I'll be playing that has really good music, so I felt it was necessary. :3c

As usual, I did this at 224px, as that's double the maximum size for an emote on Twitch. It helps force me to consolidate detail!

Here's the original model sheet for Arney! The second image was the first pass, where he was a lot thinner. We bulked him up a bunch, which is what you see in the first image. He's supposed to be a gritty defenseman after all, so it only makes sense. :3

Balancing the colors was tricky for this one, but I think it worked out! I had to tweak some colors I got from the reference sheet though to make things pop better value-wise.

All done! As I wrote on the first WIP post, this commission was unfortunately eighteen months in the making, originally ordered on August 4th, 2020, but according to the commissioner, it was worth the wait! <3

WolfWarrior77 didn't pay for shading, but I added a little glow and rim lighting anyway just because I felt it would add a lot! I also did the tiedown layer for free as an apology for taking so long to get to his commission.

It's based off of a drawing Christopher Scott made, but I adapted it to my own style and adjusted things that I thought would add appeal (such as adding a snout so he'd fit in a world with other walking, talking mammals).

I really love how Nes turned out in the bottom panel. I may turn that into an icon. <3

Thumbnail WIP for Little Runt (Page 73)

No major changes here (other than removing Irwin's nose poking out in the bottom frame). But you can also see how as I've progressed with these thumbnails, they've become even looser and more simple in detail to make revisions less of an issue. In the end, thumbnails are primarily to convey panel layout, shot angles, poses, eye direction, and dialogue bubble placement! Once I've sorted those aspects out, I'm done.

Hmm, it looks like the tree isn't far from the apple...

Hurray, the first Little Runt page of 2022! But, oy, sorry for the delay on these pages once again. My holiday got extended a bit because of unexpected freelance work, and then I just started getting back into commissions again this week. This year I'm hoping to do alternating weeks between working on commissions and working on my own projects/ideas. It should make my day-to-day life much more rewarding. <3

Here's my first commission for the new year! :3

Normally I do the fur coloring before the face colors, but in this case the commissioner didn't have a reference for me to follow, and gave me the opportunity to design this character's fur pattern. To give me a bit of a guide to work from, I did the colors I was certain of first (eg. a pink tongue) before doing the remaining ones. It helped me determine how dark I could go with the fur, how light I could go with the belly fur's brightness...
