Heres the speed draw replay for my latest piece! You can see how i turned the sketch of the boat into the drawing. When i do backgrounds, i like to pretend that I am painting something on a canvas rather than a screen and every brush stroke must mean something! When youre doing a background, dont just paint something for the sake of it! it helps you think harder about what youre doing and why!

Heres a commission I finished for flufeh_flowers on instagram!! This was such a sweet and personal commission to work on. I did not make the boat up, it is a boat that the commissioner owns! The boat is very special to them and they enjoy sailing with their father! So they commissioned me to draw their sona with their father’s sona as a gift!!
I am quite sad this piece is over! I enjoyed working on it that much!!! <3 I will be posting a speed draw in a few minutes

Thank you so much for design suggestions hehe! i ended up making the front legs the same colour as her ear tips and I also added a small heart on her left leg to add some uniqueness to her design!!

Here’s the finished art!! Honesty it was tough. Usually I struggle with tree bark but I found this background pretty straight forward. It was more combining the distinct Disney style of Bambi with my style that was hard!! I am happy with the vintage look of the piece! I have also attached the flat version and the shading process
