Heya y'all, I'm getting a septoplasty here soon in like 2 days. Basically I've had severe congestion and mucus issues for almost 4 years, which I thought was just really bad allergies. I also did have an extensive intradermal allergen test to find out that I do infact have bad allergies, I'm basically allergic to everything lol. But my symptoms did not go away fully with allergy medication/treatment, and my ENT doctor told me that my symptoms were caused mainly by my deviated septum and nasal polyps that require surgery to correct.
So this upcoming Wednesday I'm gonna be going through surgery, I'm not too nervous about the operation itself since after going under anesthesia once before a few years ago for my wisdom tooth surgery, I know that my body doesn't have adverse reactions to anesthesia or anything like that. I am only really somewhat nervous about the recovery afterwards and falling behind on commissions. My wisdom tooth surgery only took me a lil over 2 weeks to recover fully enough to the point where I could work again, but this is probably more intense than a wisdom tooth surgery so I have no idea how long it'll take me to gather the energy to work again. I've been given estimates of 2-3 weeks recovery time but who knows?
I couldn't have really waited to postpone this surgery either, since I turn 26 in September, that means I'll have to be kicked off of my families health insurance plan and most likely will have to get some kind of government health insurance, which might not cover my surgery as well as my parents insurance. (American healthcare system sucks lol) so I figured the sooner the better that I go through with this, it isn't life or death sure, but it would be a huge improvement to my quality of life.
I feel bad about pausing again since I just paused June, but I will most likely be pausing August so I can make up for the potential 3 weeks of work I'll be losing. I will try my best once I gather up enough energy to work on my iPad in bed at least but I do wanna heal as fast as I can. Thank y'all so much for being so patient with me and I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
