the character design is very original and asked me more work than expected, but it was also fun to work on all those tiny snakes with differents expressions =)

it was for Sköll birthday, so I had to keep it secret, you have no idea of how it was difficult!! xD

STEP by STEP : Hotep & Zidane (please read <3 )

This little strip take me ~3hours of work

↑ the 3 first pictures are the very first roughfrom Zidane's idea! each sketch was done in ~5 minutes (or less), that's why they are very messy! but the idea is still readable

↑ then I've put them all into 1 strip and rework the sketch, really close of the final result

STEP-by-STEP: the 1st step!

this is the first step before a perfect commission! 

after a future customes asked me for a commission and explain to me what are theyr differents idea, most of the time I just sending them a simple rough to check if my perception of the project is correct, and perhaps starting instantly.

But for me, the perfect way of working is by proposing several options of poses/situations and the customer can choose the one they prefer!

I also share with you the process for this one, with the first rough for the idea, then the sketch more readable with the differents edit for the head and expression of the character.
