I found out about this anime in a (random) Japanese magazine that I bought to browse through on the plane. It sure looks pretty but the age of characters combained with the theme is pretty disturbing ._. I guess, anything is allowed in an anime.
Anyway, I really like the scenes when Sagiri is shown alone in her room, how she's all cheerfull and dancing when drawing. This is exactly how I feel when drawing ^-^ I want to jump from joy!

Hello there! Long time ^-^ How are you all doing? How was Easter break? :)

Straight on pen sketch.
I like fresh looking lines like these and the fact that if I make a mistake there's no coming back. It's interesting to compare with the previous post where sketch was done in pencil, the lines are tired, repeated multiple times, erased, amended, drawn again.... and usually at the end I don't like the result as I spent an hour and it's still only a sketch. Tho one above took less than 5 minutes.

Another animation test.
Drawn frame by frame on paper, scanned and animated in Photoshop. 20 drawings, 50 frames.
I didn't record the process because no one would watch all day long video, hahaha! But I will share with you all scanned drawings and a layered PSD file ♥

I was tempted to do it in watercolours but I haven't touched Copics in a while too... Such a dilemma! Next one will be in watercolours (maybe :D ).
I recorded colouring in 2k, yay! If it doesn't kill my poor PC when editing (it's in 19 pieces as the limit to record 2k on my device is 5min) - I will try to share with you full 2k video!
This is the last work of March pack 3. There will be no March Pack 4, I will take time to edit videos and images as well as prepare earlier promised ...

Mini Animation. I wish I could say it was a "quick experiment" but it was more like 4 hours... All done on paper first, frame by frame, scanned and coloured in Photoshop. No references used, which makes me extra proud haha but I think I need to step back and start copying, to understand animations better actually.
Since my biggest dream is to work in animation, it's good to at least start somewhere :)

I wonder, which body and in general character type looks more interesting to you, left or right one?
(Left one is from imagination, right one photo study)
For illustrators there are no borderlines. When you have the pencil you decide what a character is going to look like. However, knowledge of real body proportions and bone structure helps massively to play with body freely in later experimentation stages.
