The carriage continues on its way through the prairie in the dead of the night, as moonlight shines on the meadow below. While his father and Pekk are sleeping, Ekay is contemplating about what his father said to him earlier that evening.

With dinner finished, the family settles down for the evening. Father goes to his bed to rest and entrusts Ekay the responsibility to take the reins. Ekay heads outside to mind the T-Urchin cow and drive the carriage onward.

The entire artisan family has gathered together at the table to begin  eating dinner. The boys find amusement when Pekk holds his mozuuk  sandwich to his nose and claims to have a mustache. Chuckling at their  antics, Father asks them to calm down and continue eating.

As time passes, Ekay trades places with his father, taking the reins of their urchin cow. The father uses this time to begin preparing their evening meal, which includes mozuuk sandwiches, much to the delight of little Pekk. Once their dinner is ready, he calls for his son, who halts the urchin cow and parks the carriage.

About "mozuuk":

Mozuuk is a Talyxian plant, with properties similar to a type of edible seaweed found on Earth, commonly used as a source of food in Japan called ...

Much to Ekay's surprise, his father is rather sympathetic and understanding. He grants his son permission to remain in the next village, and will even give him some of his tools to get him started in establishing a permanent storefront.

The father is also entrusting young Pekk to Ekay's care. He agrees that Pekk would be safer living in a village than constantly on the road, and notes that Pekk is old enough to begin his formal education by the following year. This will prepare Pekk for adult ...

Ekay once again protests against his father's desires to travel from village to village. He explains that he fully understands what his father wants to accomplish. However, thinking back to memories of his mother, Ekay is concerned about the risk of losing more of his family. He reasons that living in one village permanently would be much safer than constantly having to travel through the dangerous Talyxian biomes.

Being an artisan family, Ekay's family differs from the typical agudner  merchants such as Bakku’s family. An artisan's profits do not come from a common trading business, but rather from gathering rare stones and other crafting materials to create accessories and other items such as seal stamps. These items are sold wherever the artisan visits, with easily impressed 2018-03-05 20:47:37 +0000 UTC View Post

Pekk and Ekay's father is driving the carriage. The creature pulling  them is known as an "urchin bubalus" — a type of talyxian that is used in  a similar function to talyxian horses. As its name suggests, they have  round, thorny bodies that are similar to the real-life Earth echinus,  which is a genus of sea urchins.

Urchin bubaluses move by rolling like a ball, and their horse reins are  set on both sides of their body, similar to their equine cousins. Wild &...

While munching on his snack, Pekk takes a book from the table and begins  to read aloud. However, his clumsy childish pronunciation gives away  the fact that he wasn’t truly reading from the book, as he is still  learning how to read. Unable to decipher the text on his own yet wanting  to impress his brother, he tries to pretend to read, reciting from  memory the tale he remembers from a prior reading by his older brother  Ekay.

Noticing his younger brother...

After gaining his father’s permission, Pekk goes inside the carriage kitchen to fetch a snack. Ekay calls out his request for one as well, so Pekk kindly brings two small meals back with him. The boys gather at the dining area, featuring a table and several chairs.

As agudners are often quite inventive and industrial, their carriage is a spacious one. It has all the modern conveniences of a home, with the freedom to ...

The agudner family continues to ride in the carriage. Ekay, the older brother and young adult, sits in the storage bed with his younger brother Pekk. Their father minds the Talyxian horse reins up front, steering the carriage with a sure hand. He is an artisan, whose trade and livelihood requires him to travel from town to town, bringing his sons with h...

Sergal faces sketch

Sergals are known for their regional, racial variations in appearance like height and color differences. However, from 50RC onwards, nationality starts to take up a greater importance than race or subspecies because of the sheer amount of mixing gene pools. 2018-01-11 09:51:40 +0000 UTC View Post

Agudner species practice

Agudners are still undergoing development in the collaboration between myself and Kiki-UMA. However, you can see here from my art stream that agudners are not limited to just goat-like features. They are able to have physical builds inspired by a variety of mammals, even several types at the same time! For e...
