Gunwild: When I was a kid I didn't have posters 'cuz of money, but I definitely clipped out magazine pages and tore off comic covers and taped them on the wall of my bedroom for decoration.

We aven't done a SMUG cover in a while. It's probably our favorite way to introduce a new character, but it doesn't work for all of them. It has to be someone who could conceivably be featured on the cover of a magazine for criminals, y'know!

Gunwild: It's really important to me that even though we keep having Theira's excellent aim not resolve situations once and for all, she isn't depicted as actually missing a bunch and stuff. That way you're not just hearing all about this one thing that a character hangs on, but when the time actually comes they are unable to do it. I hate when that happens.

Gunwild: The conventional wisdom is that in comics, if you want the reader to spend longer looking at a panel, you make it bigger. So a two-page spread of one image is like saying, "Spend a little time on this, okay?" because we want the book to be paced that way.
