Gunwild: It can seem a little odd to denote grief with the stuff you'd expect, black clothes and a cemetery, when we're trying to make it clear that this family has its unique aspects and traditions - but that's meant to contrast with the next couple pages. Sometimes you can pace a scene pretty differently just by changing the order the images go in, even if nothing in them is different. What you can't guess from this is which way was in the script, and which modification Psu suggested and I liked.

Gunwild: I don't know that he's the toughest emotionally, how does one even measure something like that? But Farring has probably said goodbye to the most shipmates in his career and knows how to do it proper and straightforward. You had this sweet little idea about a causal loop, and my first instinct was that it's zany, setting-derailing super-technology... so it only made sense if someone had found an inane commercial use for it.
