There are SO many people in panel 6.
Speech bubbles, even the "burst" ones we use for off-panel people talking through a speaker, get laid in before any sound effects or even lighting. They take up a lot of real estate, and need to be put in an order that the reader's eyes can flow between naturally, without reading the wrong one first.

We decided not to have Feti hit the deck in the last panel - Maddy's not going to get the upper hand all of a sudden and pull out an easy victory in two pages (if at all). So this sketchy first pass is the only time you're gonna see her down there! Besides, it would be really hard to stand up fast wearing those heels of hers.

Oh, this is something we don't see every week! In the top left you'll notice that the sO2da sun is already colored. That's because it's lineless! The art doesn't have any inked lines drawn or to color inside, it's just drawn right there with brushes in the colors required.
Also, it's nice to know that Maddy stopped hiding from her dads during that cry-session a little while back...

Gunwild: Talps is pretty on the ball with human language already. That's why she knows when to use "Aye!" when honestly, a lot of humans get it wrong.
Psu: I don't even know what the right usage of Aye is.
Gunwild: You answer "yes" to a question and "aye" to an order. Like if I said "Are you ready to draw a really good webcomic?!" you'd say "Yes!" But if I said "Go draw a really good webcomic!" You'd say "Aye!"

Panels 4-8 were all written in reasonable detail in the script. But you'll notice they're still in sketchy redlines now, while the rest of the page looks more firmed-up. That's because at first, while we were still deciding on layout, that entire space just featured the words "FIGHTING STUFF," because it can be really tricky to know how to "shoot" action, even if you know what the characters are going to be doing.

There will be some detail differences on this page, but what's unusual about it is that the color was laid down almost in the first step! We had to know how it would work out jumping from present to flashback and back. It can really change the effect of the page. When you see this page published, the order of the panels is almost certainly going to be different!

In the initial sketch of this page, panels 3, 4, and 5 were all just one panel of Kamsi and Vernon themselves calling the start of the fencing match.
