Every time I have to be firm with someone and give them a 'hard no' I feel SO bad. Even if the other person reacts totally fine, I still feel like I've been an asshole for some reason. I'm trying to be more vocal about my boundaries lately and I think I've been succeeding in that regard. Hoo boy it is tough though!

SENSORY - Life on the Spectrum (Cover) (WIP)

There was a lot of back and forth about what should be on the cover of our anthology. I'm always drawn to books that have characters on the cover, but I also felt uncomfortable with drawing characters that are meant to represent all people with autism.

I'd have wanted the characters to be diverse in terms of body type, race, gender, abledness and it would have had to have been a lot of people. I also wanted to avoid stereotyping that autistic people might roll their eyes at (a kid in ea...

The story follows a young woman who grapples with the choice she made to leave her partner after he proposes to her. Unsure of whether or not she really did the right thing, she embarks on a journey, where, after some soul searching, she concludes that even though the future is unknowable, it's better to choose for herself and be wrong than to run away from the decision and do nothing.

This is for the Fantastic Frights horror anthology! I'm not sure if I'm totally happy with the pacing of this. I think it ends a bit too suddenly but I hit my page limit so this is where I landed for now. I'll see what the editors think haha :3

I don't know if any of you remember but last year, before everything kind of went to shit (haha;;;), I was planning on making Violapse, which is a graphic novel I've had in my head for *years* about domestic abuse. I'd been trying and failing to get started on it for all that time so I promised myself that if I hadn't started it by the end of 2020, I'd give up on it and move on. 

And it turns out I can't give up on it... I feel like I can't focus on another project until I make it ...
