Thinking About Quality

I've been thinking about the quality of my work lately and realized that it's been a while since I've really published something I can be proud of all around as a writer.

Ofc no story is perfect. I can't expect home runs every release, but I've been thinking about the nagging feeling I have about what I've posted and have considered ways of improving quality.  Perhaps I should have a more prolonged period of slower releases, or just making shorter stories overall? Something to allo...

Tried posting this earlier but not sure if it went through so here it is again.
My effort is to keep you guys up to date on the progress of my projects. It definitely shows everyone how I struggle to write endings, but I'd rather everyone know where I'm at than be left in the dark.

Been practicing art in 2019.

Didn't want to tell anybody because I'm still a huge noob and it's still just a hobby, but I've been spending an hour or so here and there drawing to try to improve.

I won't be posting every sketch I do, but I finally feel decent enough not to have this endeavor hiding in the closet.

2019 was an okay year for me executing on my vision for my Patreon. Certainly accomplished a lot but didn't exactly hit all the high notes I wanted. I'd give myself a B minus.

That update I promised two days ago.

So an update on the progress of the final chapter of Happy Holidays. . .

. . . It still isn't done. There's just something about the ending that isn't sitting quite right? (have rewritten it a few times, changed a few things, etc). 

It will arrive in due time as the year is slowly fading away and I'd like to have it done by the 1st. At that point, I'll be sure to settle and post. 

And as a reward, I'll throw in a cameo or two just so it's truly fulfilling :)

Announcement 12/27/19: Where is Happy Holiday 5?

Since Happy Holiday 5 is supposed to be the official conclusion (and I can't seem to write short stories) it's taking a little longer to finish editing it. 

My goal is to have it up by the end of the weekend. I have an off-ish day so that should mean a big chunk of progress. Keep your eyes peeled for a release then. If not, it'll have to be early next week. . .

Announcement 11/1/19

Hey all! Just wanted to let everyone in on something I've been considering lately. This November is set to be a long form month but if last month was any indication, I've been feeling a little out of form lately.  I plan on taking a few weeks off this November just to decompress and figure out where I'm trying to go as far as my writing. 

That said, I'm not simply sitting on my butt during this break. This break will be unlike the others. I have a few projects that I'll be exc...

I ask simply because I constantly have thoughts and opinions that I'd like to pass by you guys, but logging into Patreon means I have to wait till I'm home. I'd much rather send a quick Tweet or a DeviantArt status and have you guys see it. Even discord would be easier. 

But if you only consume my stuff on here, I understand. Just wanting to get more involved with you all and I hate having to deal with Patreon's laggy site (at least, it's laggy to me).

Quick Announcement 8/30/19

So, there's Hurricane Dorian aiming directly at Florida. It looks like it might weaken and pose no threat to where I live, but I wanted everyone to be aware of the threat of the storm. It is set to make landfall over the Labor Day weekend, during which I will keep everybody posted.

And, in light of the storm's possible path toward my town, the resulting outages, and the general fatigue I've had lately, I think it is best to just take this week off so I can focus on staying safe. Friends...

My SideJob Experience: Hooters

This is just a personal journal about my first visit to hooters as a food delivery driver. I promised the readers on DeviantArt that I'd write something up and post it as a Sunday journal, but this turned into five full pages, so I decided I should at least post it here first.

I'm working on a highly-requested idea: a story set in ForeverAge 2, the MMORPG enjoyed by Odette and her friend group. So, I've been setting apart some funds to have some work commissioned for the page. 

This is a rendition of the Great Saint herself, fun-sized and dummy thicc. I want to thank everyone who made this commission possible, and if everyone likes the art style, we can put more effort into other custom drawings and images.

Update 5-10-19

These announcements are coming in hot!

So I've got this story and it's friggin' huge. It's going to take a lot of time and I'm really not happy with the current version of it. Since May has 5 Fridays, and I only want to write two stories in it, I'm going to give myself one more week to get this story where I am happy with it. 

So basically nothing has changed as far as the end goal (2 longer stories in May) but the drought extends for yet another week.
