Tail splitting in Vulpix is not unlike a form of mini-evolution. Due to the nature of the transformation not requiring much physical energy, it can take place even outside of an evolution spring, though standing inside of a spring can make the process easier.

Sorry for the lack of updates this week, I ended up busier than I thought! I put public updates on hold this week so I could give myself some catchup time with this buffer and spend a little extra care and time on the effects on these pages. They turned out pretty nice I think!

One difficulty that comes with making a buffer while you're still updating the comic is that in an attempt to draw multiple pages at once you sometimes forget that your current page number runs directly into the batch of pages that you're currently working on so you have to halt overall work to update that page on time 😔

I thought for sure that about half of this speedpaint would be a goner, my computer had a nasty case of the Windows Update Restarts Without Telling Me while I was recording this. Thankfully Autodesk has an autosave feature, but some metadata for part of the recording wasn't doing too well and the recording was unviewable due to corruption. This speedpaint finally finished rendering! So, some fun notes about these pages:
- This is the first speedpaint I've done where I feature two pages I worked on in tandem! Moxie was adopted by her father (the previous owner of Marowak Dojo) when she was orphaned by her biological parents at a very young age. He passed away some years after Inigo was born, but Moxie lovingly carries on the Dojo in his memory. She has a soft spot for children as a result of her upbringing, and wishes to make her father proud by taking in and looking after any children who don't have parents, have an unstable home life, or otherwise enjoy her company.
