I wasn't satisfied with how the other kaho piece was turning out, so I decided to start from scratch LOL.
I was feeling like I had fucked up the angle in the last piece, so I wanted to do something much simpler. Just wanted to focus on the head and chest, and I feel like I'm really nailing it this time. I've modified her outfit to be something a bit easier for me. I'm just glad I've started drawing clothes more.
Almost forgot to post this. The idea is basically just Moona in a pretty lewd bodysuit type of thing.
This is going to be a gift for the client's friend, so... I probably won't post the finished version until after their birthday. Which isn't until April.
Gotta fix up some anatomy stuff in the mean time.
I decided to run with kaho, if only to give myself a small break from drawing tails LOL. I do want to draw tamamo at some point.
Anyways, when I was looking through illustrations for her, for a BA character she doesn't have that much on danbooru. I was gonna do something cheeky with her top and pull it between her chest, but... there's like 20 pieces of that already LOL. So I just decided to rail her.

I'm actually cooked, I can remember a good amount of her design details without needing to look them up.
Anyways, I decided to make this a pretty quick piece. But I still made a good amount of mistakes. I wanted the lighting to look like there was light coming from the viewer's PoV, so the butt would be brighter, but then I also wanted a bit of the moonlight to show and uhh, it kinda created conflicted lighting.

I guess this is my new years piece LOL, she's wearing some of the accessories from the new years outfit.
Anyways uhh, spent the afternoon finishing this up. Pretty proud of how it turned out. I tried using larger shadows and I think it helped quite a bit. I might have to experiment more with them.
Had some fun with the variations too, but if the cross section isn't to your guys' liking, I can always turn it off and export a few more copies.
First sketch of the new year and I'm already drawing seggs, LOL. It's a sort of similar angle to the marine I just did, but I'm really digging this. I guess my fuwawa brain rot is continuing.
I thought about trying to add in her disheveled kimono, but then I looked at the pattern and kinda went "Yeah, I'm good."

Been doing some sketching today and settled on something I'm really kind of digging. This'll likely only have a "safe" version because uhhhhh I've been having a skill issue on getting the chest to look good from this angle all afternoon LOL.
Still a lot to clean up and detail but I hope you guys like something a wee bit more wholesome from me.
The turn around on this was pretty good for me. I finished the second fuwawa sketch, and honestly, I feel pretty good about it. It's a simple piece but kinda like the calli piece, I just feel satisfied with it.
However, i do think I'm getting a bit complacent with not drawing clothes. I think I'm gonna try to challenge myself a bit here soon.
Apparently I'm down bad, which like, is very out of character for me LOL.
Anyways it was very nice to do a pose without any foreshortening or anything. Didn't have to think that much while working on this.
Decided to try something a bit outside of my mold today.

Well, this is probably the most unique pose I've done LOL. Took me a long ass time to get it curved this well.
Composition wise, I think the outstretched hand might not have been my best idea. Like, I had originally wanted the wings out stretched, but with the hand there, it took up too much space. So it sort of is what it is. I have no clue how I'm gonna make the scales look good from this side LOL. I'd like to finish this, but this one might just end up being a sketch here.
