I loved working with Roarie in the studio.
She is super inventive and an excellent versatile poser.
The first two of these is sunlight through a window.
The third was shot with a large Fresnel spot as the only light source, and the last with the Fresnel shooting through a makeshift frame of two diffusers (like Lee Opal) taped to the side of a wooden frame.
It's a fantastic light, and I still find the combo of shadow and reflection in the box mesmerizing.

On August 6th, I told you about some adverse weather conditions at Løkken Beach when I visited with Lilith; here, you can get a bit more feel for what I mean, especially in the BTS movie.
Thinking back on this, I realize that I likely felt like creating something dystopic because of the harsh environment.
The movie explains how we shot this and why working fast when on location makes sense.

I’ve shot a lot with Rebecca Perry and consider her a friend.
The first shot is from a small cave in Sweden, and she’s wearing Oppium body chains (Made by the model Mufin in Paris).
The other two are from my old studio in my favorite window.
I loved this window so much that I built the wall behind it, to have a wall against which to shoot during winter when the sun was low in the sky.

In the basement under the Kiln Studio in Stoke-On-Trent, there is this gorgeous round structure. It's outlining the actual old English kiln, and is a unique photographic location.
I would have loved to have a smoke machine, but sadly, it wouldn’t fit my carry-on bag…
The light here is mainly from a door on my left, softened by some windows in the opposite end of the room.

Well, not exactly dancing:
We nicknamed these rocks devil pebbles as they are all volcanic stones and not the most pleasant to walk on without shoes.
But look at the environment; an alien landscape like this is second to none.
At the time of this writing, we still have one single space available on the Lanzarote workshop i...

One more of the compositions we created at the group shoot in April.
This light is a large Fresnel lens to make the hard shadows.
And a large umbrella (7’/215cm) that is set to low output directly above the camera.
The idea of this second lamp is to open up the shadows slightly without creating additional noticeable shadows.
What kind of light do you prefer when shooting with groups?
Are you a fan of soft and wide?
Do you prefer mostly side light—or light fr...

A couple of gorgeous art nudes, If I may say so myself (and who’s to stop me?).
The bearing element is the window light, creating the diagonal frame.
This contains a vital composition trick (a sharp diagonal line), making you look and hopefully be seduced by the lines in the individual photos.
Do you have any go-to tricks that you frequently use to make others see your work?

Gentlemen and ladies
I have some fantastic treats for you this September:
First, the images above are from an older set with Poppyseed.
I have the perpetual problem of lacking clothed images required for public posts.
I suppose that tells you something about what's in store.😆
Yesterday, I kicked off the month with a new set with Varvara, who I last photographed ten years ago.
Then today, Poppyseed does artsy stuff, followed by a gr...

I shot Varvara the first time almost ten years ago, and then she resurfaced some months ago, and we set up a new shot.
I love reconnecting with models I’ve known for years; it’s great to see how their lives have developed and played out.
Anyway, this set with Varvara is from just outside my Studio, where a bunch of these sculptures are made of papier-mâché.
I first tried shooting with available light but quickly set up a red-head halogen lamp to shoot straight from the ca...

We were graced with an amazing sun sifting through light cloud coverage, giving perfect light for this set shot at Kullaberg in Sweden.

Zsan was intrigued by rope but had never shot with it before. She was super eager and enthusiastic to try, though.
I like this set; she displays great emotion, especially in the suspended ones.
And for Zsan, doing hard things makes them more enjoyable.
How do you introduce models to new experiences like rope play in a comfortable and safe manner?

Speaking of COVID Shutdowns, I shot a set with Rosa Brighid in March 2020, literally two weeks before Denmark shut down.
Rosa is a model who, I should add, very successfully transitioned into OF and has made a good living from that.
For the shoot we made, she only had one requirement: She wanted to have fine-art nudes that showed off her body.
Yes, Mam, Not a problem.
I think I’ve posted most of everything else we shot - just search for Rosa Brighid on my Patreon.

Carocalossi from a quick shoot a few months before COVID shut everything down.
Interesting fact: Both are shot at almost the same spot. The main difference is flagging off the shot to avoid stray light and shooting more against the light on the second.
Fun fact: She is a twerk dance teacher
Please drop a like if you like nude twerking 😜

Kory wrote me on a whim and asked if I wanted to shoot with her, but she only had a narrow window of opportunity:
She’s from Mexico City, was visiting Oslo, and had two days to spend, after which she was flying to Spain.
A couple of days later, I picked her off at the airport and dropped her off 5 hours later.
But in the meantime, we managed to shoot some fun sets.
She’s an interested woman:
Ballerina, very flexible, sensual, doesn’t own an ounce of shyness -...

When I shoot women, I always try to find unique bits about each person—things that set them apart—and make some images that focus on that unique feature.
In this case, Faith Starr Official's white palms contrasted with her beautiful dark skin, so I wanted to draw attention to this feature and see if I could make something enjoyable about those unique characteristics.
How do you identify and accentuate unique physical features in your photography, or is it even something...

Someone once asked me if I’m a breast or booty guy.
I’ll never reduce women to their body parts, I’m more interested in charisma and self-confidence.

But if you put a gun to my head (or a camera in my hands), I do gravitate toward the posterior.
This is Shruti…

I was good friends with Poppyseed Dancer for about three years.
But we had a massive fallout in 2020, and sadly, that friendship ended in flames.
Consequently, despite some excellent shots, I didn’t feel like publishing anything we had created for a long time.
But I’ll start posting some of the ones I have never shown onwards.
This set is from our first solo shoot (I booked her for a two-day workshop in the days before the shoot).
