Bonus December

In the public mail I promised you a version of this without the body-stocking.

And Voila.

Enjoy.

Double Trouble with Clara Sinclair

Two Clara’s for the price of one.

I love working with mirrors in the studio, challenging as it is, but the idea of seeing more sides of the story appeals to me. And frankly, with a bum like this, you can’t have too many, can you?

Again, this is daylight from the studio windows. You can see exactly how it worked out in the Multicam BTS movie.

Liftoff

This is an old set I shot with Poppyseed in Sweden.
I love to shoot in places that have been sacred in the past like this stone circle spaced out like a ship.
There is something magical about places of worship.

Rigmor

This is Rigor, a new-found model one of my friends recommended I work with.

And I will again for sure. She is just starting out modeling, so the main challenge is expressions and movement, but I’m sure she’ll get there if she wants to explore modeling further.

In a romantic mood

This set was shot with my old trusty Canon Dreamlens (50mm, ƒ0.95 ) with an adapter to work on my Sony Mirrorless.

You can see the light In the accompanying video.

The black flag, known as a Vanity flag, blocks most of the light from the windows from hitting the camera lens. One not-so-good characteristic of this particular lens, especially when using a full aperture, is it is horrible when shooting against the light. It will become very soft and diffuse, so eliminating flare is ...

If there is a hole

When I do nudes in the landscape, one of the more critical things to do is ensure the model is well integrated into the landscape.

I have a video on this in ART Nude on Location: Masting natural light.

But if you haven’t seen that, let me reveal one technique that works well:

If there is a hole, put a model in it. View Post

Baños Arabes Solo

Here are some solo images from the Baños Arabes (I posted the group images on Nov. 14th). Here with Loulou models and Wiana. You can also find a little BTS movie from there.

All natural light from various doorways and ceilings.

By the way, remember you can always search for tags and keywords: Try to search for “Banos” to see the previously posted set.

The last image was posted before, but I added it to today's post for completeness.

Today is movie time

This is a movie I made after a workshop on how I edited one of the images from the workshop.

Have fun.

Mirror Mirror on the wall

I did a trip to Mallorca this summer with The Endless Sinner, Wiana, and Luolou models.

In the place we stayed, there was this one studio apartment with a bed, bathroom, and a Jacuzzi in one room.

And it had a mirror at either end of the room.

On the last day of The Endless Sinner, Wiana and I set out to explore if we could do something unusual by “hiding” one model a bit in the background.

Here is what we ended up with.

It’s a mix of available light and on...

The Asylum

I love to experiment.

Lately, I’ve been doing a lot of work with slow shutter speed to add surrealism to the pictures and get a feeling of motion.

The image is a bit banal, but I think it has a fascinating, surreal look.

It’s not a classic art nude, but I think it’s interesting (and perhaps a little spooky).

Let me know your thoughts.

Torso

Some months ago, Dulce Mara approached me and asked if I would be interested in shooting within the next month as she was in the country. I agreed, of course.

A few days later, she got back in touch and said she had a job opportunity in a different country and was leaving a few days later.

We promptly set up a shoot but only had a two-hour slot, but we made it count.

And please don’t say, “Feed the model.”

She is a Chef and fully capable (and aware) of handling h...

Blue eyed cave

I was in Lanzarote with Wianamodel in April, shooting my latest video course, “Artnude on Location, Mastering natural light.”

Here are some images we shot on the first day in a volcanic cave with a big skylight.

One of the things I look for when researching locations (That is also part of the course, by the way.) is how light wi...

Laetitia on sculptural

Making sculptural images with Laetitia is always a fantastic experience.

I used a Zeppelin 57” deep silver umbrella for this set, with a large lamp shining into it (see videos for more details). This simultaneously yields a distinct and soft light, especially suited for dark skin.

Bottoms Up

Last month, Clara Sinclair from the UK felt like getting her gorgeous rear end aired, so she visited me in Denmark.

No complaints from my side, obviously.

This is daylight from two windows in my studio, and it came about as I was changing sets when she started playing around with getting under the table.

And I doń’t know about you, but when a beautiful woman on her own accord gets down on all four and rear-ends me, I instantly start to pay attention. 😉

Lucky number 13

A cool group shoot of 13 incredible women who volunteered for a group shoot I set up in Copenhagen. I did edit a lot of the shots we did back then, but sometimes I get fatigued when I edit too many from one shoot and then push the others off.
And then I’m thrilled when I rediscover the sets, and it feels fresh again.

This was lit with a Giant silver umbrella (7-8’ from memory), two Westcott white 6’ umbrellas from the front, and a slight from the shadow side to soften the shad...

NausicaaYami and the shadow

Sometimes, I get some weird ideas. Like here where Nausicaa Yami was suddenly facing me with what I thought was a bit too much genitals on view as per her usual preference, considering the sun was directly behind me.

So, being a gentleman, I did the first shoot and used my shadow to shield the private parts, shaping the idea for the rest of the series. I’ve been sitting on these for some time, as it happens. But I somehow felt I wanted to edit them now, so I did.

Interestingly, ...

Memories of Zoi

An old set with Zoi shot around a workshop I conducted in Copenhagen about 2013 (yeah, I’m clearing out a few of the “leftovers” so I can concentrate on the new shoots).

I rented a fabulous studio loft where we did the workshop, and the model would stay overnight. It is a great place with natural light on two sides of the apartment from the floor-to-ceiling windows.

I rented the same place for another workshop three years later for another workshop. But I didn’t realize th...

A winters tale

I usually get tired of shooting in a studio over winter, so a couple of years ago, I rented an Airbnb (summerhouse) for a couple of days and brought this anonymous model up there.

It was sunny, with little wind, but as you can see in the first image, with snow, it was freezing outside. On the other ones, it could be summer.

I guess you could say I’m in the deception business.

Bunker Sin

The Endless Sinner is at one of the reinforced doors next to the shooting gallery on the old airbase where my studio is.

I love the color and texture of this door, even though it’s placed in a spot with total darkness.
So, I set up a large silver reflector behind the camera to get the daylight from the sky in where I needed it.
I rarely use reflectors or flags outdoors, but this was one of the notable exceptions, during one of my spring location workshops.
