By my calculations, rendering this animation in 4K should take around 50 hours! The animation will be posted on here for patrons early. Only patrons will have access to the 4K version, public release will be in 1080p!

Although the poll ended in a tie between StarWars and Marvel, I think I will work on some StarWars stuff next as it will be a refreshing change from the usual marvel stuff I usuallly produce. This will also be a nice opportunity to try out Bo-katan. I have two Bo-Katan models (one from clone wars and the other a more realistic take based on the Mandalorian).

I decided to switch up the pose something less awkward and more of a relaxed vibe for the animation. Rendering out a test animation will post the result of the early animation tomorrow. It's still quite rough and also has no sound.

Yesterday's progress all rendered out in 1080p. This is part of the summoning ritual. Next the plume of smoke that she blows out will turn into a sphere which will then become a swirling smoke portal from which the male character will rise!

Figured out how to do the smoke simulation for the production. All in all this will be the most VFX heavy project that I've done (when it's completed).

Worked this morning on reshaping the b-hole and cheeks a bit. I'm a bit happier with the way it looks now. Next I'll work on getting some voice acting for this animation. I also realized the animation preview I had posted for this project on patreon was sped up! Which is my own fault I forgot to set the playback to "frame skipping" so when I played the animation in the viewport it wasnt playing in real time! Ah well I've figured out a work around to slow things down a bit thankfully.

Finally after 6 iterations and 5 day of work searching for solutions to get the houdini particle hair to work inside of blender I'm satisfied with the look of the hair and the way it simulates. I'm quite pleased with it actually.
I'll be rendering out the final version for this particular sequence of the project today and will share it with all of you soon!

Hello I've included some still renders of the particle hair that I've created for the Scarlet Witch Fortnite model here. While I'm not completely satisfied with the result and it still needs some tweaks, I have to accept the fact that this is my second groom ever in houdini and need to keep my expectations a bit on the lower side. Continuing on with the hair. I feel pretty good about the flow of the hairs now to add to the top of her head so she doesnt have a skullet lol. After the scalp is covered, I'll be refining the shape and adding some waviness and clumping to it to give it a nice realistic look, then, it should be ready to simulate!

simulated hair.
To be fair the hair looks good in still renders but it doesnt animate so great I do think this is a great opportunity to try some hair simulation with houdini though.

Well I officially hate the hair on the scarlet witch fortnite model lolol. Honestly it's been a complete annoyance to animate. I'm in the process of rendering out a test render in blender cycles so I will have that up this evening for those who want to see how the animation is coming. But I also made the decision to spend some time and create my own simulated particle hair for the model inside of houdini. More on this soon!
