It's been a bit of a slog, but I made my longest comic ever in record time!
Started sketching it out in November, and totally done with the whole thing by mid-March. By comparison, Going Off-Track is 11 pages shorter than this one and took me an entire year to complete. I hope you guys like the final product, I may go back and tweak little things or add a little more detail in that final panel, but for all intents and purposes, the comic is done!

First up, a closer look at the background of Professor Frederick Summer, a storied member of the WPU faculty and a primary character in Eli McKaber in Woodport 101. The first image is a shot of his open staff file, the second is a more in depth look at one of his file photos...
Back to Dresden Files<...
In Prof. Summer's staff file Dresden has compiled information on an incident in which Prof. Summer's hiking group got lost and had to be located by Search and Rescue teams. Included is a photo a reconnaissance photo from a search group when they first came across the lost hikers... Looks like they managed to cope with the situation in their own way while awaiting "rescue"
This finished illustration will be released alongside the complete file when that is done.
I've now finished first pass on the whole comic, just have to add lighting and soften shading on the back half and it's all done! Enjoy the whole thing here:

Twitter now has the first page of The Red Menace and will be getting an expedited schedule, so the whole thing will be fully published by late April. Though Patrons will get full size images, Twitter will have to make due with the compressed versions. In the meantime I've been wrapping up finishing touches on most pages. The first 15 pages have had preliminary shading, and the first 9 pages are completely finished....

Here's a little catch up page to bring Twitter users up to date on the info they'll find useful as we jump into the new comic. What do you think? Anything I missed that people will want before jumping into Red Menace?
We're done with the first 6 pages by the way, so be sure to check those out, also with the exception of the last page's crowd scene, backgrounds are totally completed. I'm also working on a character reference sheet for Eli. Let me know what you think of it.
Eli's Birthday is January 15th! Happy Birthday Eli! For some reason Cliff thought an early-morning surprise party would be your preference. But he didn't consider that you haven't had your coffee yet, and that you aren't dressed yet, and that you haven't gotten rid of that morning wood yet... uh... maybe your friends can help you out with that after the awkward silence...

Okay, backgrounds still need work, but I've got the characters lined for the first 13 pages! It's a 27 page comic so this is a big undertaking, and I'm comparatively moving at a lightning pace compared to some previous comics, so I'm hopeful I'll keep making good progress.

Slutfest is an annual trade show and entertainment venue for international sex-positive businesses as well as local vendors. This year Woodport is lucky enough to host the prestigious event and who knows who might be in attendance!
