Sorry for the delay. I finally found an apartment, so I'm moving at the end of the month. I expect Ch.121 to be done for the 28/29th, but the chapter after that might be delayed a few days, coming sometime around the 11/12th of October.

AIL6 (The Shadow Monster) is also delayed until October, because of this delay. I spent the time I had set aside for AIL6 to do MLV instead, to try and keep it on schedule, despite this move going on.

Lots of new patrons! Figured it's time for a post explaining what Pleasures of Hell (PoH) is, for everyone.

I know this chapter isn't going to play out the way some people expect. I've never been a fan of boring, predictable conclusions to conflicts. Sometimes these sorts of endings make people angry, but I think people will be satisfied.

Getting somewhere!

I actively tried to speed up the pacing in this chapter. I think I've been slowing it down a lot, because I've been reading Stephen King a lot lately, and that dude's prose linger and drag on for aaaaaages. My writing pace still lingers, but I manage to get through some pretty huge story beats faster this chapter. Let me know how it reads.

I was also tempted to add a whole section here, exploring Jeremiah and Azamel in depth. That could have easily hit 30k words...

Discord Issue - Patreon troubleshooting

So I'm working on getting a Discord server set up where readers can chat, ask me questions, see update posts, etc.

PROBLEM! Tier 1 users aren't getting auto-invited/joined to the server. T2/3/4s are, but not T1s for some reason. I'm talking with Patreon right now, and they're trying to troubleshoot the issue.

Writing this took a lot longer than I planned. I've screwed up my editing schedule. But I'm gonna try and play catch up, and stick to a release on the 5th/15th/25th.

It's the action scenes! Trying to play choreographer, while also keeping the action flowing smooth, while also not getting repetitive, brings my writing speed to a crawl. I can write a 6k-word sex scene in a single day if I want. I can write a 4k conversation scene in a single day if I want. Action scenes slow me down to 1k...

I told you I'd do it!

Writing these AILs has definitely taught me that they're a fun idea in principle, but after writing a few of them, they quickly become difficult as hell to write, and eventually take foreeeeeeeever. Creating a mini universe on the fly is fun the first few times, but after that it gets surprisingly exhausting.

Wow life has been hectic. My plane ride is on the 30th, and while I plan for things to go smooth after that, I'm sure they won't. I'll be staying with some family for a few months, and then finding a cozy little apartment thereafter, some place quiet and cheap where I can focus on my writing.

I'm trying to catch up on the original writing schedule, but I don't want to do something stupid and sacrifice quality.

Wow, sorry about the delay. Things have been pretty rough here IRL. Ontario just went into lockdown again due to Covid, so arranging my move has proven problematic; plus, some other issues I've shared with a few concerned patrons.
