Hello everyone.
Thank you for all your patience while the eagerly anticipated release of Chapter Four creeps ever closer.
Once again my plans to have this episode released already have been thwarted by the complexities of making stuff work properly.

There was an issue with how games were being saved which was identified a couple of weeks ago. It took a bit of mental Jenga to figure out the cause, but we have pinned it down.

There's more to see in Chapter Three

By the time I post this we will have (finally) launched Chapter Three.

As with the first two chapters there has been lots of work put into updating this part of the story.
The scoring system and display has been updated so it's in line with the rest of the game.
We now have a range of achievements to aim for and the checkpoint and save point at the end of the chapter.

Chapter three progress update

We are very close to launching Chapter Three.
There was a recurring problem that was coming up in Beta testing that was actually fairly simple to resolve once we had established what was causing it.

Chapter Three should be launched over the weekend now.

I've spent the last couple of days restructuring what will be released as Chapters 9 -13.
This is what has been known as the 'Date with Bridgette' episodes.

Extras and New character experiments

Although the Academy already has a sizeable ensemble cast, I often play around creating new characters to populate the peripheries.
As the story progresses you get to move away from the confines of the Academy and explore a whole host of other locations.

Game launch update

Chapters One and Two went live a couple of days ago and so far so good.

There has been one reasonably substantial glitch which has now been resolved.  Hopefully it won't have affected too many players.
The issue was with the credit payment sequence at the start of the second bonus scene available towards the end of Chapter Two.

Chapters One and Two now available to play

Head over to https://www.dsp3000.games/ to play the first two chapters of the new and improved Academy series.

The whole website has also been updated to follow the new chapter structure.
If you are still seeing references to 'episodes' in the navigation tabs, text or images then it's likely that your browser is showing a previously cached version of the site.

Chapter 1 & 2 launch confirmed

I am happy and somewhat relieved to announce that we will be launching the all new and updated Chapters 1 and 2 tomorrow.
That's Thursday 2nd June.

We've had a whole load of technical issues to resolve but we are now pretty confident that things are running as they should.

I am going to recommend playing the game in an incognito/private window in your browser to limit any issues with caching. I also always recommend using Firefox and avoid using Chrome as your browser.

Just who the hell does Annie think she is?

Firstly... I obviously really need to temper my use of the word 'imminent'...
I honestly thought that we were much closer than we were when I made that announcement a couple of weeks ago.

Apologies for having to explain more delays in adding the new game material to the new website.
In retrospect I should perhaps have kept my head down for a bit longer before announcing my plans for this series.

Episode One release imminent...!

We are gradually making up ground on the delayed website launch now and I'm confident that Episode One will be up some time next week.

We have some more testing to do to make sure everything works as it should but so far it's looking good.

This will be a completely remastered episode with plenty of additional material compared to the original release back in 2016.
