 I'm going to be taking some time off this week for Thanksgiving... I'll be heading out to visit my Mom in another state on Wednesday, and I won't be coming back until Friday. I'm not really sure if I'm going to have time to get any kind of art done on those days... in theory I should be able to get some done, but with traffic and all at this time of year, I don't know what I'll be able to get done.

I thought a lot about this page before working on it. Which cards get played, and what they symbolize was very important to me. Of course, I still managed to screw it up by partially covering the 10 of diamonds. It's not the most important individual card... really, the important part was just the diamonds and the number 10 was simply used because it's the largest. Lol although I designed my own ace of spades which kind of hits you over the head with the symbolism, in case it wasn't obvious enou...

 I'm trying to make sure that I don't let myself lose too much time to taking commissions and stuff and continue to update the comic regularly. So I'm trying to at least do a page of BCC every other day, at minimum. I do want to do more comic pages, and I've set a goal for when I'll be making enough money through Patreon alone to stop taking commissions, but for now bills have been piling up at my place and we're doing what we can to deal with them.

I was watching a documentary about the mafia a while back, and one of the former members they were talking to mentioned the fact that nobody actually calls it "the mafia". He also talked about how it was basically just a group of thugs, and this idea of guys in suits being classy and with strict codes of conduct was really only in the movies... but then after the movies came out the mobsters who were still around started copying what they saw in the movies.
