Anastasia's Office - Hi-Res

So, this came about for weird reasons. I had set time asidetoday to  work on a commission, but when I'm working on commissions I need to have various steps of the process approved by the commissioner. However,  when I sent him the earliest sketches of the pinup, he just never got back to me. I didn't want to start on something else until I heard back from him, since he'd been very communicative while setting this up, but I also didn't want to just work on the piece without confirmation...

BCC 23-01: Hi-Res Early Access

 I was up late last night celebrating my wife's birthday, so I got a kind of late start on this page. But more than that, I was just kind of low energy, so even though this page isn't particularly complicated page, it still took me much longer than usual to finish. I think I usually get my comic pages in about 4 or 5 hours earlier than this.

I keep forgetting to update this series on here. It's tricky since i"m such a creature of habit, so it's a little weird for me to have this series that basically follows different rules.

BCC 23: Diner Date: Hi-Res Early Access

Lisette won't actually be wearing this outfit in the chapter lol, but I felt like it would be something cute to see her in. I actually was debating with myself while doing the early parts of this whether I wanted to just have her in a super traditional diner waitress costume, or to try and goth it up a bit. In the end you can see I went with a bit of a middleground... with Lisette still wearing her usual piercings and makeup, but with a purple outfit.

I recently finished playing Doom  on PS4, after seeing it on so many "best of the year" lists. I really enjoyed it... the game really reminded me how much I've hated cover mechanics in games over the last decade. I always hate when my character glues themselves to any waist high wall I happen to wander near... I feel like if the game just has a duck button, I'm perfectly capable of getting behind that cover on my own.

I hope everyone enjoyed their Valentine's day. My wife and I went to a Hibachi grill for dinner... we had actually gone to that restaurant for sushi, since the grill usually fills up on Valentine's day, but we managed to hit it right after the lunch rush and before the dinner rush, so we were able to actually get a seat at the grill. It was pretty fun :)

I actually did the linework in color to begin with... usually whenever I do  colored linework I actually do the inking as black, then color over it in photoshop. But since I'm working digitally, I do actually have the option to just do the linework in color to begin with. I usually don't, because that would make every comic page take much longer to draw, but with a simple pinup like this it actually saves me time and  ...
