I totally lost track of time so this is going up just a touch later than usual. Today's been kind of weirdly hectic despite not much actually happening. Anyway, it's March now... we're approaching six months of me focusing on this comic and trying to make a living off of just art. It hasn't been easy and we've still got a long way to go, but all the support of the fans and the patrons has really kept me going.

The second of Ven's commissioned pages for the first chapter of Side Dishes. This comic is really running with the growth that the original pages just hinted at. A tricky thing about this sex scene is to convey the idea that they're having rough, forceful sex, without it actually being overtly forced. That's part of why I had them use a safe word in the previous page, to show that as weird and painful as their sex gets they can still call it off if they choose to.

It's really a struggle to get some of their conversation out there with its twists and revelations while still having them have sex with each other. The initial script from Dr. Sharktopus had them hold a whole conversation before the sex even starts, but that would have been at least like... two or three pages before getting to the sex. I made the decision to start the sex scene up earlier and just try to pepper exposition throughout.
