I had to look up how to spell "hoosegow", since it's one of those words that's completely out of modern vocabulary and could, potentially, have some weirdo spelling. It's obviously not a normal English word (it derives from the Spanish "Juzgado", which just means "Judge")... honestly I thought it might be "HusGau" or something like that, but nope... it's spelled pretty much exactly how it's pronounced, which I guess makes sense since it's just a mispronounced spanish word. Like Buckaroo.
