vonBiomes + Space Port City "Busy Skies" Upgrade 9.0.3

Dear Patreon Supporters! Download the new vonBiomes version 9.0.3b with Early Access "Space Port City" - the biome has been extended with Air Traffic and the starting and landing Drophips now have beautiful exhaust trails. I spent the weekend learn the Unreal Engine Niagara Particle Systems and this is the first outcome! Furthermore, many tiles have been updated with fixes, add-ons and more.

Do look up! Planet Skybody Collection in vonBiomes 8.3 & Early Access

There are a ton of new Skybodies in vonBiomes. In the last few days, I have created even more to increase the diversity of what planets (and some nebulas) you can encounter across the Inner Sphere!

Here is a collage of all planets added by the Mod - and since Space Stuff and Planets are also great fun to create and craft, there will probably be more in the future :)

Early Access vonBiomes Update! New Undergrounds, new Tiles, and improvements

vonBiomes Update on the Horizon with new Underground tiles & more!

Dear Supporters, here is a quick update on the progress of the now 2 core mods for your Mechwarrior 5 adventures:
The Underground Tiles in Space Port City have been empty - until now. Currently, the tunnels and subterranean tiles are undergoing a complete overhaul, adding structures, new more detailed columns, pipes, and unique newly added wall 3d models. Side Project News! A new quality HUD is ready for your Cockpit

The vanilla MechWarrior 5 HUD lacks some visual love, in my opinion. So I spent an extended weekend modding a HUD overhaul for more immersion and better looks since I was integrating the vonBiomes environment colors anyhow into the BattleGrid. I am happy to present you: "vonHUD" :)

A quick (visual) June recap

So - it has been quite a month in the Mechwarrior universe;) With the new enhanced Sun System for missions, every plant is now different in its own way when running the vonBiomes Mods. Planets close to the sun are flooded with light (and radiation probably), while planets far away show a small, much dimmer sun. vonBiomes Mechwarrior 5 Mod - Early Access X (v8.0.3)

vonBiomes 8.0.3 is out and ready
(shouldn't it actually be 8.1? Anywaay...) 

This update contains basically DLC3 Fixes. And I mean that literally:
the Mission Screen has been completely redesigned, the biome picture is back (bye-bye-blur), and no more strange black boxes and stuff. Have you noticed the blur on the mission screen? Well, this is gonna fixed in the next vonBiomes update! I have overhauled and rebuilt all biome pics to full HD resolution to be ready for the upgrade. The mission screen also already got the vonBiomes treatment - let's get the biome picture back!

vonBiomes Mod Progress and some amazing community screenshots

Progress progress! The last week has been dedicated to fleshing out the new Gray moon and Charred Barrens biome - mainly the first with new special tiles, like an Overlord (yes!) Dropship and Geo-Dome Habitats. Also, the new Sun System is now directly integrated in vonBiomes. vonSkies Prototype 0.2!

New biome work in progress: Gray Moon

Last week, many tests have been done to balance biome appearance better in the Inner Sphere - and since there is an overhead for the vanilla extrasolar moon and also iron oxid biomes, the last week did see the creation of two new regular biomes: Gray Moon and a Saltflat biome. These two new biomes will bring more diversity to missions in career and campaign. Here is what the new moon biome will look like, even featuring custom handcrafted crater tiles!

A little Mod Development Progress and WIP Screenshots!

A quick gallery about the progress from the last month - there has been so much new stuff coming to vonBiomes and also other mods! Space Port City is progressing, with new buildings, new tiles. We have now lakes and water in Mechwarrior 5. An SLDF Fortress is coming, too. And my overhaul of the PT Map Mod, making the Inner Sphere beautiful;) And not to forget - Ambient Sound Effects including weather audio.

Space Port City WIP Shots

Some more shots from the progress on Space Port City.. things are coming together, started also the polishing of the first map tiles. Today marks another achivement: made the first custom blueprint of a building, basically for having chain reactions, e.g. if the roof is destroyed, also the antennas collapse. This will, in its final form, serve as the framework for all buildings in the next additions.

Early Access V - SpacePort City WIP

Dear Patreons, this is a new Early Access version of the vonBiomes Mod including the current progress of Space Port City and also in Bog/Marsh now special lake tiles.

Please note: there are some know issues still - sadly I had to revert a full day of work due to.. weird things and sometimes, a Map in Instant Action does not load. You can hit randomize and set SPC again as biome if it hangs - this generates a new map layout.

Also, there can be flying structures. Just have seen them...
