So, when I animate my D&D shorts, I do them all in one long shot, as pictured, with various shenanigans and tomfoolery going on to make it look like different angles, and then I put the long shot into a composition and move the camera around.
Thing is, it would be a headache to remake this whole shot every time, and it would be a messy to have to keep updating a template file, so I usually just start by copying out from an older one to make each short. So, like, if I'm doing a short...

One of my favourite things about animation is that it allows you to do things that you can't do onstage, or that you can't do cheaply in live action. Like, making someone super huge is time-consuming and expensive in live-action, but it's literally just changing a couple numbers in animation. Anyway animation is cool.
