Some Tier C patrons have been requesting how I make furry legs. One of them in particular how I make them in the Leafeon character style. This construction also applies for similar bipedal characters like some Fidget paintings.
As usual as I say with this type of step by step guides, take it as reference to get a mental image of how the are shaped and give you an idea of what you can do in each case, and not as a rule that must be followed strictly or always.

Hi there~ new month and new projects calendar.
Last week focus was on bases for paintings, this week I plan on doing two things mainly: advance and finish some of them; and try to get the March sketch folder ready before next week.

Details of the making of this painting in a suggested order.
1. Gestural work: Laying out the general idea in a way that subsequent shapes drawn over it follow or align to the direction of these "guides". The less lines and the more loose feeling they project at quick glance the better. Preferably a main flow is needed and the other lines should sprout from it.

Done: Drawing base, overall composition and mood.
Currently working: Defining the lighting and shadows, shading base.
Future: Shading refinement, detailing, post-painting processing.

I remember liking this character many years ago, but is just recently that I bumped with an old pic of him and immediately fell in love again... so the obvious thing to do was drawing him!
For now I did some thumbnail concepts but I don't think I have finished with so probably there will be more sometime in a future.
