A lot of layer effects for the light effects! Same process with more or less details/care was used on Secret Spring and I think on Pooka Prince...
Entire process for this background took roughly 2 hr.
I used a reference to speed up the painting so this one in particular was not entirely from imagination.

The most interesting thing to point here is that the face design changed a lot. In the end I decided to go something more in line with my style.
4 PSD files for the whole process in June rewards. This is the first time that I'll share all the "stages" for this style in particular, the more realistic one (bg, bg correction, characters, characters correction).
